@Boopers: I see it in both! And no squinting whatsoever on the second one. Can't wait to see your FRER!!!

@periwinklebee: so exciting!!! The betas are def much more reassuring. How are you feeling?!

@Kemma: gentle congrats to you. 3 will be chaotic the first few years but then just think you'll have like 60 years with this cool person!

@Boopers: I had a squinty squinter at 10 dpo... but the FRER was much more obvious. Good luck!

@Boopers: Definitely there - congrats!!!
@Mrs. K: Thanks! Hoping the TWW flies by. It's crazy how much waiting is involved in ultimately having a baby in one's arms, and at any time you could have to pay $200 and go back to start (hah, well, lucky if it's only $200). Really hoping this month is it for you!
@madisonbee: Thanks! I'm just trying to stay distracted until my second beta draw tomorrow. I'm going to be so nervous to take the call with the results...
nectarine / 2813 posts
@madisonbee: The TWW is nothing, haha. It's when you get a positive test that the real worry and anxiety set in.
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@madisonbee: @mrskansas: The waiting is endless... I was nervous when I first missed my period that surely it was going to show up any minute - after all, it's showed up month after month for more than half my life - but feeling better now. I figure in a best case scenario I'll start feeling really sick soon, and in a worst case scenario it's not viable, so either way today may be the best day for awhile and I'm trying to enjoy it!

@periwinklebee: thanks me too!
I find myself losing hope sometimes in the tww and getting down but I need to stop that because I have no idea what's going to happen and I have no reason to feel that way! I think it might be a self protection thing...
nectarine / 2180 posts
@Mrs. K: Its very much a self protection thing, although it doesn't really work. Even if I think a month is hopeless, I am still disappointed with I get a negative. I'm trying right now to just relax and not think either way.
apricot / 308 posts
@snarkybiochemist: you're totally right, and it's nice to hear I'm not the only one that struggles with that from time to time
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@Mrs. K: I'm very much the same way. Agree it's self-protection, but I found that it helped when I started to have really negative thoughts about TTC to remind myself of all the things that had happened recently that I'm grateful for. I know it sounds super cheesy, but it definitely helped.
nectarine / 2180 posts
@Mrs. K: You are very much not alone. This is a hard process and of course hormones don't make it any easier, either way.

As another form of self-protection, I actually deactivated my Facebook and Instagram. I have friends and family members (and their friends and family) popping up on my news feed announcing their pregnancies. I'm happy for them and it's really exciting, but stings just a bit with each announcement and baby bump photo put up. Some just put up pictures almost every day. I thought I'd just shield myself from that.
nectarine / 2180 posts
@madisonbee: I understand the need to do that, I keep up with a few people on FB and only FB so I don't want to deactivate, but I have definitely hid people whose pregnancy's I just can't handle. I hope you are able to find peace and balance

Just for fun, to pass the time, what names do you all have in mind?
If we have another girl, her middle name with be Denise (after my late MIL) so it's hard to find a first name to go with that. So far I like Abigail and that's it but surely I can find something I LOVE.
For a boy, I like the idea of naming him after my DH but calling him T.W. (initials). Not sure why I like that so much. I also like Hunter, James or William.

@mrskansas: Oooh! DH and I settled on Ella for a girl since we got engaged 2 years ago. We don't know or hate anyone with that name. It used to be Sophia (my all time favorite), but a close family member with that name passed away as an infant, so we didn't want to "rub it in" in a sense.
For a boy, we struggled with this one--he didn't like the names I suggested (Nathan, Logan, Justin). So settled for Mateo.

@madisonbee: My daugher's name is Ellie so naturally I love Ella!
Boy names are hard!

@Boopers: that's a pretty pink line!! Congratulations!
@mrskansas: DH and I cannot agree on names to save our lives. It's going to be tough naming our future kiddo!
nectarine / 2821 posts
@madisonbee: that's tough and I think it's a very smart thing to do to protect yourself that way
And I love your names especially Mateo!

I started temping this morning and it went terribly. I think my awareness of having to get some solid sleep before waking up and temping messed with my head and I was awake every hour from 3pm on... Ugh. I'm not a great sleeper to begin with but I'm extra tired and cranky today.

@Boopers: definitely there in the second picture, too!! Get a FRER!!
pear / 1548 posts
@mrskansas: we cannot decide on a girl name! I like Paloma and DH isnt super excited about it, but won't offer any other option 🙄
@madisonbee: Mateo is our boy name too!!! Boy names are easier for us than girl names.

Ah thanks everyone! Just took an FRER and there is no squinting needed. I just hopes it continues to get darker in the next few days. I have 2 more FRERS and one digital to use through the next few days.
pear / 1677 posts
@Boopers: Def no squinting needed. So exciting! I wonder if this will be baby Mateo or baby Paloma?
pear / 1677 posts
@Synchronicity: Blech, sorry. I would probably be the same way if I started temping!
grapefruit / 4089 posts
@madisonbee: I'm going to assume it will get better, but if not there's no way I'm keeping it up! Sleep is too precious

@periwinklebee: keep us posted on the betas! Funny you mentioned feeling nervous about AF showing up because I was thinking I'd feel the same way even after getting a

@knittylady: Thanks for thinking of me!! The support is awesome.
I've been ok! We've been on vacation the past week so that's been a good distraction. I feel like I've already ruled out this month though...feel exactly like I do before AF. I've had intermittent intense cramps the past week like I always do.
The only thing I've noticed is that my skin is really broken out. It usually clears right before AF (hormones drop I guess), but has yet to do that. Fingers crossed.
grapefruit / 4466 posts
@Mrs. K: Thank you!!!
@Synchronicity: I wouldn't worry too much about sleeping before temping. When I got up to pee, I never noticed that it affected my temps much - yours might not be very sensitive. The only thing that affected them really was if I had to get up more than an hour earlier than normal.
