@fotolori1: @Mrsk: I'm so sorry, girls.
@BabyBoecksMom: I always struggle with whether or not DH and I should be waiting a bit longer to start TTC. I was contemplating switching jobs earlier this year and was so worried about TTC while doing that. I feel there will never be a perfect time.
@runnerd: I love the name Blake. Its my cousin's name!
@LindsayInNY: I really like the name Quinn and don't think it clashes too much with your favorite city.
@LovelyPlum: I love the names Rocco, Jack or Nolan for a boy. (Most people I come across dislike Rocco. Hahah. I don't really care though.) For a girl, I'm really stumped. I like Catherine and Analeigh, but am not sold on anything!

@lisamarieloves: I couldn't agree more So hard to decide when the right time is. The thought of having to pay $1,800/mo for two kids in daycare on top of saving for a new house and saving money to cover my loss of salary while on maternity leave is just so much pressure. I know that we'll work through it if I do end up pregnant this month, but if we wait, we'll be sitting a little more comfortably.

@BabyBoecksMom: Oh my gosh... $1,800 a month for two kids in childcare??????? I just hyperventilated a little. And saving money? Hahaha... gees. I haven't even started to think of that yet. Can I just put all my student loans AND mortgage into forbearance for a bit? Oh lord... its really hard to plan out...

@LovelyPlum: There's so many girl names I love, but DH vetos...like Iris, Eulila, and many flower names. It's a pain!

@Dandelion: I had that same problem with Hubs. Before we knew that Xander was a boy, we were trying to come up with girl names and there were soooooo many that I loved: Kathryn, Kaitlyn, Kira (I like K-names, can you tell?), Aria, Maya, etc, and Hubs hated them all!!! Finally I had to just agree to a name that HE liked, haha. And then we had a boy, so all that trouble didn't matter!

@Adira: I honestly think that this time around DH is going to let me name whatever I want. When it comes to everything TTC and all, he has totally let go and just says, "whatever you want is what I want." He's been so sweet.
I could be wrong, though.

@Dandelion: From what you've said, it sounds like your husband is soooooooo supportive, which is AWESOME. I can definitely picture him just going with what you want. Or maybe what will happen is he'll want to wait on deciding on a name until the baby is born healthy! I could see myself doing that in that situation.
watermelon / 14206 posts
@Adira: Or at least from the anatomy scan. Not sure if my personality would let me go so unprepared up until birth, haha.
But, I don't plan on having my dad bringing the crib over until a healthy baby. I'll get the p&p and other stuff here, but since a baby won't sleep in the crib for a bit anyways, I'll just wait.
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@Dandelion: haha, yeah, I'm the same way. I'd freak out if we didn't have a name picked. And good idea about the crib - no sense having it taking up space when you don't need it right away!

@mrsk: I'm so so sorry. *HUG* I'll be sending you calming and comforting thoughts and vibes.

@LovelyPlum: sometimes i wish I could duggar it up so I could use all the names I love.
Delaney grace & Beatrice Anne WILL be used.
Elliot Edwards or Oliver Edwards for a boy.

@Mrsk: Hugs
@LovelyPlum: Thanks for the lists and the questions...they are a fab distraction.
For a girl I like Chloe and for a boy Jameson although that is also FIs favorite whiskey so not sure what kind of complex that would give a kid growing up.
My TWW vent...I'm probably about 3dpo and pretty sure I O'd sometime in the overnight hours between Mon/Tues. But my temp has only gone up .3 degrees and has stayed consistent the last few days. My OCD is telling me to wait and keep temping to see if it goes up a bit more, but I sort of feel like I should just stop and see what happens over the next 10 days or so. Sigh.

@sera_87: If you dugger'd it up, all your kids would have to have the same initial. I think it must be exhausting to keep thinking up J names!
bananas / 9229 posts
@AlmostMrsG: I'm in the same boat. My positive OPK was sometime around Saturday - I think I missed the peak of the surge with testing though. My temp has not had as much of a rise as usual though. I'm inclined to believe the weather and heat has been messing with my BBT though.
pomegranate / 3604 posts
@Dandelion: hahaha! Maybe I should say the bates? Or we could do the alphabet since LO#1 happens to start with A...
Somehow in my family the first 4 ended up with J names....I can't believe "Jinger" got through but "Jeanne" didn't?
I think it would be harder to come up with M names like Josh & Anna are doing.
watermelon / 14206 posts
@sera_87: The alphabet would be so awesome!
It's weird, either way...I'd prefer to just go with a name I love, rather than commit myself to match up everyone's names! I think I'd be the same way with twins, too...no matching names!

@AlmostMrsG: Same boat with temps here. But then, this morning, found some info that my temps aren't going to be accurate because I've been taking at different times every day (I wake up on a variable schedule depending on work.) Part of me hopes I won't even have to deal with charting next month (FX!), but another part of me is a little bit glad to know how to do it 'right', should I need to do it again...

Hey girls... I just bought a BBT at CVS last night and I'm pretty sure its a POS. What kind of thermometer do you all use?
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@lisamarieloves: I have the Reli-On from Walmart

@lisamarieloves: I have a nexcare digital basal I bought from Amazon. Seems to work fine... although, not sure I would know if it didn't.

@LovelyPlum: We're pretty set on Mariella for a girl, but we also like Isabella (both are variations of our grandmothers' names). We can't really agree on any boys names yet, but I like Adrian, Gabriel and Cruz (I also like Leo but I think it sounds like just a nickname). Thanks for the sweet shout-out in the updated list And thanks for the fun questions!

@NorCalWayfarer Mariella is beautiful! i don't think i have ever heard that name before.

@Mrsk: So sorry! Lots of us have been there so please don't hesitate to reach out. It helps to talk to someone who has been there. Lets face it, DH's have no clue what the emotional and physical toll is on us. My DH was mildly upset for a week or two and couldn't understand a month later why I was still struggling.
We're all here for you!

@lisamarieloves: I have a random one from CVS - there's turquoise on it, if that helps? Haven't had any issues with it. Why do you think it's a POS?
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@NorCalWayfarer: I love the name Cruz. I know someone who is considering it for her boy right now.
@LindsayInNY: The one I bought from CVS last night, and tried to use this morning, didn't have any kind of sound to say when it was done. I took my temp twice - one right after the other - and it was several 10ths of a degree different. I could be fairly confident that I just wasn't using it right. But I want the best thermometer out there if I am going to devote a significant amount of time worrying about charting.

@lisamarieloves: I use a sensor that links to a program called duofertility so I'm definitely no help when it comes to thermometers.
@LindsayInNY: I hear you on the weather. I'm in Los Angeles so it doesn't get too hot or unbearable but FI has been sleeping with the fan on and blowing directly at us so I'm convinced that has something to do with it.

@lisamarieloves: I use this one from CVS: http://www.cvs.com/shop/product-detail/CVS-Digital-Thermometer-Basal?skuId=233142
It beeps when it's done but it takes a loooong time (sometimes over a minute).
bananas / 9229 posts
@lisamarieloves: Did the packaging specifically say BBT? They measure more precisely than regular thermometers. That's odd that it didn't beep though...
@AlmostMrsG: The first 12 days of my cycle were not as stable as usual. The first week (AF), I was working a TON and only getting 4-5 (max 6) hours of sleep a night. The second week I was on vacation - it was mid-80s most of the time but no AC so we slept with fans nearby. I think those two combined did something. My pre-O temps weren't too far off from normal. It's the post-O temps now. It's been 90+ degrees here for the past two weeks. Some nights I sleep okay, some nights I wake up sweating, I'm all over the place. I *have* to believe that's doing something to my BBT, especially since it's not as high as it usually is post-O.

@jillybean218: @lisamarieloves: Ooh, yes, that's the same one I have!! When I said it was turquoise, I meant purple? I agree, it sometimes takes a while to read and I find the last temperature display doesn't work so I have to record it right away.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@jillybean218: @LindsayInNY: Yes, I think that is the one I have. Maybe I just didn't wait long enough. I hate waiting! Hahah. I will try again tomorrow. I just wish there was a BBT that was super easy and verifiably reliable.
bananas / 9229 posts
@lisamarieloves: @jillybean218: The instructions were only semi-helpful but I remember reading that if you hold the on/off button down for a couple of seconds, it's suppose to save the last reading. I do that, out of habit, and then watch it cross-eyed as the numbers go up, LOL. Once it beeps, I either turn it off right away (if I saw the number) or shove it under my pillow so the beeping won't wake DH up.
cherry / 165 posts
@LindsayInNY: I use the last saved temp quite frequently, but it does that automatically. You hold the on/off button down to see the last reading, not to save it.
