My friend just put her LO in at 4.5 months... I'm thinking of going to her house and seeing if my LO likes it...

We skipped the jumperoo and just got an exersaucer.

Sawyer got a jumperoo at about 5 months, we used one at play group for a couple weeks before that though. He much prefers the jumperoo that we bought, then the exersaucer we are borrowing.

We didn't use one but my friend did with her LO and she got hers at 5 months.

We did both an exersaucer and a jumperoo, right around 4 months... Wagon Jr. LIVED in his exersaucer until past the age of 1!!

We had or DD in hers at 2 months. As soon as she was able to hold her head up we stuck her in. She is unable to touch the floor so we put a cushion under her feet!

We bought at 4 months, but she was 5 months old before she started really getting the hang of it and enjoying it. She may have enjoyed it sooner, but we were out of town for most of her 4th month.

DS started using his jumperoo when he was about 5 months old. I bought it on Black Friday for $50 and kept it for a big Christmas present since he was only 2.5 months old when I bought it.

We got ours around 6 mos after we saw how much she liked the one at daycare. You may want to look at used--we got an fp one at a thrift srtore in great condition for $30!

@Sweet T: Wow, you're awesome for being able to hold out for that long! I was considering to do the same thing, but LO will be closer to 6 months by then. After all the responses, I think we might just get it now and get her smaller gifts for Xmas. But it would be so nice to have her open a bigger gift and have her jump around at Christmas.

We had an exersaucer first. DS was 12 weeks old and we put a cushion under his feet and a blanket around his waist since the opening was so big around. He was big for his age though, and it really took a few more weeks for him to play and stand on his legs more. My inlaws got a jumperoo for him around 4.5 months. They got the baby Einstein one, which I liked better than the fisher price rainforest one since DS was so big and the baby Einstein one could be raised off the ground a lot so he used it longer than he was able to use the exersaucer. He loved both, but liked to jump.

@MamaCate: I just checked the local "craigslist" and the cheapest I could find it for was $105+ shipping! It's not so popular around here and it's hard to find - they retail for $250! It totally sucks because I checked Ebay and if I lived in the UK, people are giving them away free if you pick them up.
But it looks like AmazonUK is the cheapest place to find it, but it's still almost double the price compared to the normal Amazon.
I really need to stop comparing things to their dollar amount! =/

Holy moly those are crazy prices!!! I got both the exersaucer and jumperoo used for $60 total. I would totally send you ours if I could since my LO would rather sit and play these days!
Do you have the jolly jumper that you hang from a doorframe available? My LO loved that at 4 months and still likes it 3.5 months later (whereas he cries when I put him in the jumperoo).

@Sammyfab: that's so sweet of you! But I bit the bullet and ordered it. LO's more active now and my arms are getting tired holding her up. I'm really hoping this will help tire her out and get her to sleep!

We got gifted an exersaucer, so we'll prolly skip the jumperoo~

@Crumbs: I'm sure she will love it! I see all of these pictures of babies actually sleeping in their jumperoo...if only my LO fell asleep so easily! The jumperoo definitely tired him out and we got some good giggles out of him with it!

@Crumbs: that is crazy! LO really likes it but i don't know if I would spend that much for it. Is there something similar but more popular where you are that you could get for a more affordable price?
