@Kaohinani: I am so sorry. Nothing was wrong with us on paper other than I have PCOS. But, we were healthy 26 year olds. Once I had the HSG I got pregnant that same cycle. Resulted in DD. I’ve gotten pregnant on a hsg cycle again, although that ended in a miscarriage last month (unrelated to hsg). So, hopefully with testing and the hsg it may give you an extra boost as well

@Kaohinani: I'm sorry it wasn't better news. You may have said this already and I missed it, but do you have any plans to see a RE? For now, as hard as it is, my advice would be to step away from the symptom-spotting train and let yourself relax. Your lake visit this weekend sounds like perfect timing!

@Kaohinani: I'm sorry! It sucks when work travel gets in the way. My husband is traveling for about 1.5 weeks next month but I think I'll ovulate juuuust before he leaves.

Thank you, @DC YOGA BEE: @AFC061018: @MAMABEAR87: and @SKINNYCOW:
I'm so (uncharacteristically) emotional right now.
Hopefully, HSG works for us and we don't miss our "couple's time" due to hubby's training next month. I went to an RE before our move 7 mos ago and she stated, since I have "unexplained secondary infertility" (but EVERYTHING else checks out beautifully), I should "try" Clomid for better egg production and to lengthen my cycle (which this was cycle 2 of), possibly try IUI if HSG showed a need for it, and consider IVF if our insurance covered it (* They do not. ). My current OBGYN echoed her plan for me and this is what we are trying. I'm just mentally and emotionally drained from ttc ... I have 2 beautiful children who I love more than life itself and I am absolutely stunned that I can not have a little #3 to share that with. It's just frustrating. I apologize. (I guess I REALLY do need this vacation! )

@Kaohinani: I'm sorry! But I will be your eternal optimist! You're not out until AF shows.
soooo I tested at 3 AM because I was awake checking on a friend that is having some preterm labor. Negative, but I know it was early for an easy@home.

@Sams Mom: Thank you. You are a sweetheart. I'm SO hoping you get your BFP this month!

So this has nothing to do with POAS... But I am second guessing if these fabrics go together. My sisters say yes, and I'm pretty sure but need extra input.
I sew shirts for preemies, a lady requested bunnies. I love this bunny fabric, but I didn't have a good exterior fabric choice in the store. (Lining has to be flannel, exterior regular cotton). Then I found the dots in the bottom of my fabric basket.
What do you think?
nectarine / 2288 posts
@Sams Mom: boo to bfn!
I love the bunnies and dots together!
I sew too, but mostly clothes for me. I've been doing all the sewing since my svt. I find it really relaxing

@MamaBear87: Sewing is my calm the crazy time too! And since I sew for a charity, my husband can't bitch about my trips to the fabric store.

@Kaohinani: i think to some extent knowing what you're missing makes secondary infertility harder. All the hugs this morning

@Sams Mom: i have so much fabric right now. And a bunch of customs that are set to come in July and August . Trying to make my piles look smaller

@Kaohinani: @MamaBear87: I would agree, of course I haven't experienced the primary infertility side of things, and I can't imagine what it's like. But the knowing that you can have a baby, you have had a baby, and want nothing more to have another baby but can't seem to blows.
@MamaBear87: I have cuts folded up in the bottom of my sewing table aside from my 2 baskets of fabric to make it look less overflowing. But this is literally the only thing I currently sew, so I definitely get side eye when I walk in with more fabric.

@Sams Mom: also I love that together, so cute! I wish I had a talent like that

@fuzzypeaches: @dc yoga bee: thank you ladies. I second guess myself at the more non traditional pairings because it's going to someone I don't even know so I can't pick their brain. Even if I could pick their brain, they have much more important things to be dealing with at the moment.

@Sams Mom: OMG! The fabric is absolutely adorable!!!
@MAMABEAR87: You hit the nail on the head. I am absolutely head-over-heels for my kids and, out of all of the "careers"/jobs with titles I've ever had, being a mom has been the most defining and special. I am keenly aware of what I'm "missing" and I absolutely crave that new-baby smell around me.
@fuzzypeaches: Thank you. I suppose things could always be worse but, man, I'm REALLY bummed out!

I ... don't think our pain should become the tragedy Olympics. My pain with primary infertility is not measurably more or less than someone with secondary infertility. It's just different.

@afc061018: I'm glad to hear your perspective (I have been crucified on other discussion boards for venting about my problems ttc #2). I can wholeheartedly agree that not being able to get pregnant when you want nothing more than to be pregnant sucks no matter what.

@afc061018: Oh ... I never meant it that way. I'm so sorry if anything I wrote came across that way! It was, most definitely, never my intention. I am in NO way ever in competition with anyone for anything, especially something as emotionally personal (and subjective) as one's journey towards fertility and having a happy, healthy family. I am TRULY sorry if my comments about me wanting another baby were offensive in any way.

@afc061018: different is a way better term. Sorry if I sounded mean

Man o man, @MamaBear87: I need you to remind me that this is most likely progesterone. I am feeling nauseous, back hurts, boobs hurt, tired, and sooooo freaking hungry
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom: Join the club ... still waiting on AF. . Progesterone is a symptom-ninja. . (I think the Clomid 100 is definitely to blame for the difference in this cycle.)

@Sams Mom: I'm not the voice of sanity this month I'm a sobbing mess and my lower abdomen keeps pinching.
Oh and my cardiologist just refused to let me pay him for my procedure. Between that and my grandpa I cried all the way home.
We're totally pregnant

@Kaohinani: I'm on board with blaming the Clomid 100, between that and the prednisone cycle making me sweat like crazy even when sitting on my butt doing nothing.

@MamaBear87: That is amazing of your surgeon! I'll take the being pregnant part to make up for this crap.

@MamaBear87: Wait, I just RE-read what you wrote! The surgeon is declining payment for services rendered!?! That is absolutely amazing!!! You are so lucky!

@Sams Mom: @Kaohinani: he's seriously one of the best people I've met. Just good hearted. He gave me his cell number and said call whenever if I'm freaked about getting pregnant

@Kaohinani: @MamaBear87: Oh, no apologies necessary, though I appreciate it!
@Sams Mom: I'm really sorry to hear you've had a rough time of it on other boards. While I get where they're coming from (I can't deny I've thought to myself, "man I wish I had secondary vs primary so I'd have a kid to love while I'm going through this"), skewering each other over it is counterproductive and unsupportive. It all sucks.
@dc yoga bee: Such great news!!
