We are going to Vegas next week for my 35th birthday, and I’m going to try to not test while we are there. If I do, it will be our last day, just to make sure the trigger will be out of my system. I figure it would be an exciting time to find out if it’s positive, and if it’s negative, I’ll enjoy all the free drinks in the casino LOL
I’m officially supposed to test the 9th, but if I can hold out I’m waiting until the 10th so I can use fmu at home.

I'm so ready to get this TTC show on the road!
Cycle Day: 3
TTC Cycle: 4 (sort of). Started TTC last summer, conceived on cycle 3 and subsequently miscarried, and have been on an unwanted break in TTC since due to attending a wedding in Mexico (ugh, Zika!).
Ovulation Date: 6/14
POAS Date: 6/24

@skinnycow: damn the zika! You must be thrilled to finally be "off the bench".

I haven't joined one of these boards before, but I'm starting to think I need an outlet for the TTC process.
Cycle Day: CD 21, maybe 3dpo today
TTC Cycle: 3
Ovulation Date: around 5/27 or 5/28, I haven't been diligent about keeping track yet. I'm just using the general length of my cycle and symptoms such as EWCM and sore nipples
POAS Date: 6/8
Baby #: 2
My LO1 was conceived on the first cycle, so even though we're only on month 3 of trying, I'm getting nervous. I'm 5 years older than I was for LO1, so I'm worried that it will impact getting a sticky pregnancy. I got pregnant the first month but it turned out to be a cp.

Hi, everyone! Wishing everyone the best of luck for big, beautiful BFP's
this month!
Here goes:
Cycle Day: CD 2
TTC Cycle: 30 ... Yes, you read that correctly. 🙄 Lol. (#2 on Clomid)
Ovulation Date: * Expected Ovulation = June 13th
POAS Date: June 28 ... but we all know I'll POAS by 7 or 9 dpo. .
Baby #: 3
(I have a 10 year-old daughter [my miracle] & a 3-1/2 year-old son with special needs [my blessing])
pear / 1728 posts
@Chuckles: I, too, conceived my daughter on the first cycle trying and expected to get pregnant immediately the next time I tried. But - I've read that you only have about 20% chance of conceiving with perfect timing so we were probably just lucky the first time. It took three cycles to conceive my second pregnancy so hopefully this is your month!
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@Chuckles: @skinnycow: My son was an oops mom can't count what cycle day she's on correctly, and said go for it on the pull & pray/Natural Family Planning Method that had worked for 3 1/2 years... Now I'm going into my 15th cycle (if I start tomorrow) TTC #2 and sooooo understand the frustration of how the heck is it that hard to get pregnant!? Especially with the way your parents and high school acted like sitting right next to each other might cause a baby...

@LAZB: Nope, you must be thinking of someone else.
@Chuckles: I have a lot of similar thoughts. My two LOs were both conceived on the first try, and I am worried that my age (38) is a factor. I am also worried about miscarriages (and genetic issues).

We just had our second IUI this a.m. DH's sample was great and everything went cleanly, so we'll see if this is our month. We had two follicles measured four days ago at 19 and 15 and did Clomid 50mg this month. It was a rough May full of setbacks, so it'd be nice for this time to work.

I'm tentatively jumping in. I'm nearly to the end of my current cycle so we're going to try with next o.
Cycle Day: June 3rd should be cd1
TTC Cycle: 9 (but we've had a 2 month break due to health issues)
Ovulation Date: June 18th
POAS Date: June 30th
Baby #: 2
@Chuckles: my lo was also a cycle one baby. Getting to a second kid has been much more challenging but I had a major health scare that has made me see that things are great as they are. I would love another kid but it isn't necessary for our family to be happy
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Chuckles: @skinnycow: @Sams mom:
Both of my kids were surprises. My daughter was a HUGE surprise during a time when I thought I wasn't going to have children ... I was 27, had completed my first masters (M.Ed), and was searching for a new job at the time. My exhusband and I were unable to have children together, so I assumed I wouldn't with my [current] husband -- Surprise! A beautiful baby girl. We spent the next 6-1/2 years just being happy as a family of 3 (although, secretly, I, as the oldest sibling of 3 in a family, have always wanted 3 children and, after the birth my son, I found out my husband [who is the youngest of 3] wanted the same!!!!). 3 weeks after my husband's last deployment, my son was conceived. No work, no trying, no ttc or tracking .... I was blissfully pregnant at 34 and I got an adorable little boy out of it months later.
Fast forward to a bit after my son's 1st birthday, we begin to actively try since "3" is THE number we were shooting for and we want(ed) our son to have a sibling to grow with. It doesn't happen --- Months pass, still nothing. I go for tests. The hubby goes for tests. NOTHING! Every test comes back ABSOLUTELY perfect but no BFP. So, here I find myself, 38 years old and at month 30 ttc.*chuckles*
I am absolutely certain it will happen [someday] because I am holding out hope and faith that it is meant to be. I love my children so much but there is always room for one more.
persimmon / 1495 posts
Thanks, everyone, for sharing your experiences! I'm 38 now and I realized I was actually 32 when I conceived my first, so I feel like that's a big difference. And, of course, I'm only 4 dpo, but I'm already symptom spotting and wondering if the mild cramping I feel is only in my head (or maybe indigestion )
olive / 64 posts
@skinnycow @chuckles: We also got pregnant on the first try with my daughter at a time where I knew nothing about TTC so this is all new (and so stressful) to me! Good to know that I'm not alone

Hi everyone! This will be my first TTC cycle for baby #2!!
My cycles have been always been irregular but they have been getting shorter (first postpartum cycle was 60 days and my last cycle was 30 days), so... basically I have no idea when I will ovulate this cycle! Last cycle I ovulated on CD20 so that’s what I’ve used for the dates below. Another complication is that I will be traveling overseas during my fertile window and staying in Airbnbs with my husband’s family... so we’ll see how that goes.
Cycle Day: 13
TTC Cycle: 1
Ovulation Date: 6/8
POAS Date: 6/18

Ok, so now I’m laying in bed thinking about when I’ll poas, so thought I’d get opinions. We leave for Vegas for my birthday trip on Wednesday. Thursday is my birthday, and also 13 dpo. I’m usually in the drink til it’s pink camp, but since it’s vegas and my birthday I’m likely to have more than usual. Should I just be blissfully ignorant until when I’m supposed to test per the RE (Saturday or Sunday)? Or would you test Thursday morning? I feel like if it’s positive great, and if it’s negative I’ll have a few extra drinks lol
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@LAZB: Ooooh, POAS Thursday morning! Test results will dictate the level of "party fun" although either way, you will have something to celebrate! Of course, I state this as someone who eagerly tests (monthly) at around 9 dpo simply bc that is "about" when I found out with both my pregnancies, so I may be a bit biased. 🙄
. G/L and Happy [early] Birthday!
pomegranate / 3904 posts
@Kaohinani: I usually poas early too, but I did a trigger shot and I have to wait longer so it’s out of my system. This will be the longest I’ve waited!
kiwi / 745 posts
@Chuckles: Delurking to say that I conceived my daughter on the first try and this pregnancy (21 weeks now) on the third cycle. I completely freaked out about whether something was wrong but the odds are still overwhelmingly in your favor.
nectarine / 2288 posts
@LAZB: I'd wait and just tone it down a bit just in case. But I would be crushed to get a negative and not have any fun for my birthday
pomegranate / 3904 posts
@MamaBear87: that was my initial plan, but what would you consider toning it down? I am not one to get drunk, but I can put quite a few back and be fine.
nectarine / 2288 posts
@LAZB: not getting wasted. Baby doesn't share a blood supply until like 7 weeks anyway. So I'd just have water in between each drink and call it good

Cycle Day: 4
TTC Cycle: first post-miscarriage
Ovulation Date: around my birthday (6/10)
POAS Date: 6/25
Baby #: 2
Dipping my toes back in as it’s the first cycle since my miscarriage last month at 8 weeks. Hoping it’s a lucky cycle since it’s my birthday month. We’ve been trying for a second baby for over a year. I have moderate PCOS. This month, we are using clomid with timed intercourse.
pear / 1728 posts
@LAZB: I would probably test Thursday morning and not get crazy drunk. I'm definitely in the drink til it's pink camp too!
My second pregnancy I got a negative at 12dpo or 13 dpo and drank during a three night vacation because I didn't think I was pregnant. Whoops.

Cycle Day: 10
TTC Cycle: Unknown. We started trying for #3 over a year ago and have been through a miscarriage, an exceedingly horribly long ectopic, and a chemical pregnancy. I'm not sure how many cycles that equates to us actually trying but it has been about 14 months so far that we have been hoping for baby #3.
Ovulation Date: best guess- maybe June 5?
POAS Date: I'm going to test on Father's day (because that would be a great gift) which will be around 12 DPO. At that point we will be on vacation, so if it isn't positive, I may not test again until we get back on the 23rd- which if I hadn't gotten my period by then (due June 19/20), it would most likely be positive.
Baby #: 3- I have 2 little boys with June birthdays that are turning 5 and 2 this month!
May was a horrible month and I ditched the May POAS boards (sorry). I had a HSG, we ended up buying 17 acres of land out in the country kind of unexpectedly (stressful!), then we got violently ill. I actually had a positive test the day we fell ill, but by the next day it was no longer positive. Not sure if it was a faulty test or another chemical pregnancy. Either way I wouldn't be surprised. I'm not going to dwell on it.
June is always a wild month for us. We have our wedding anniversary (June 11) and my boys birthdays (June 12 and 14). Then we usually go on vacation the following week- Tennessee here we come!! Hopefully all the fun will keep me distracted and carefree.
Oh, I forgot to mention the HSG showed no issues with my uterus. The right tube filled and spilled normally. The left tube did not fill or spill normally. It is possible it may have spasmed when they injected they dye or it could be damaged from the ectopic pregnancy. I feel like I ovulated out of my left ovary in May. So hopefully it is right ovary's turn this month and I will have good results!

@LAZB: I would probably POAS the morning of your birthday just to gauge how you're celebrating. But this is coming from someone that is a bit of a POAS junkie without any patience. All though the trigger did throw a wrench in the obsessive POAS methods.
@dc yoga bee: you have the same birthday as my hubby! Also I have all my fingers crossed for you this month, I followed along on the December board because I had this weird feeling that I would be on that board, so I lurk a lot.
@Dr. Pepper: that is a hell of a month! I hope this one is a little less eventful (outside of hopefully getting a positive) this month!
As to me, I didn't even POAS today, because it was family reunion day and it's just a shitshow all day long. I didn't start either though, so I shall test in the morning if she's still a no show in the morning.
