What's up this month: Same old! I actually feel quite positive about the cycle for some reason. I've been making sure to take my vitamins ( prenatal, an extra vit D, an extra folic acid, and co enzyme q10.) Confirmed O with an OPK, got a positive last night and this morning. That's it. I was going to temp, did 1 day, and then stopped haha. I hate temping, it makes the tww so slow and makes me anxious. I'd love to get pregnant this cycle because this is my last cycle, then I have to work Christmas. ( my rotation works the 24-28th. If I get pregnant this cycle, I'd be going on mat leave just before Christmas. ) Sooo fingers crossed I get to spend Christmas with my two girls, and not at work!
For Fun - Favourite Summer Song of all time: I'm lame, I can't think of one right now!
@Mrs. D: @oskarsmommy: Good luck What does baby aspirin help with?
pear / 1852 posts
@MrsB2012: You'd start mat leave in December, when the baby wouldn't be due until February? Are you expecting complications? Or are you Canadian like me and are looking ahead to the NEXT December because of year long mat leave?
kiwi / 625 posts
@MrsB2012: it's suppose to thin the blood to prevent & clotting, thicken the uterine lining.. even though my blood work came back ok, my GP said to take the aspirin, that it can't hurt.. good luck to you too!
nectarine / 2466 posts
@Mrs. D: I'm Canadian, but I've taken medical leave at 31/33 weeks respectively with both pregnancies. I work long days/often don't get breaks ( I'm a nurse ) so my Dr's always tell me ( and honestly have recommended) that I can go off early. That added with both my babies have been born at 37 weeks, I'm not off that early. My last baby was due Feb 8th, was born Jan 21, and I was off work Dec 15th

@oskarsmommy: interesting that it helps thicken the uterine lining, I didn't know that!

@MrsB2012: lol, Im a nurse too and totally think about holidays and mat leave. I also had my baby at 37 weeks, but got pulled from work really early because I had complications. Good luck for this month!

So I wasn't sure whether to post on this board or the may board since I'd already had a bfn in early May, but I got this this morning on CD 30! I had gotten negatives on cd 28 and last week (I was impatient lol ) so I really didnt think this was our cycle, and had been planning on starting opks/more active charting this coming cycle. I'm pretty wary since we had a chemical last February...but a digital is a pretty good sign!!

@nana87: If a digital picked it up, then I consider it a true positive, congrats!

@Mrs. D: thank you! testing on digitals this time was interesting, I wonder if I would have seen squinters instead of negatives if I'd used wondfos or frers earlier. more discouraging but less anxiety-inducing of an experience compared to last time

What's up this month: Finally finding an online community to help me through this. I wish I had taken the initiative to find you ladies a long time ago. I guess I thought it would be easy to conceive... Silly me. I have a short cycle (25 days) so that could be part of the reason it's been hard to figure out when I'm ovulating. I haven't done anything except chart my periods. I had a weird job where I got up at different times every day so I didn't think charting temp would be that useful - it might just be all over the place. Now I have a consistent schedule and can take my temp at 7am every day. I am going to get a BBT and I've also ordered the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" off Amazon. Again I wish I hadn't waited to do all this stuff because it's been a year and I'm really impatient. Seems like everybody in the world's got a little one! And my mom died when I was a baby so I have never experienced the maternal bond from the child's side or the mother's side. I am so anxious for that experience.

@bizwitch: welcome! What about just trying opk's? Temping is good too, but if you're still finding your wake time is inconsisant, opk's are a good place to start!
Hope your stay on the boards are short

POAS Date: not sure, how do you ladies decide?

@bizwitch: I usually pick CD26, since that is when AF is usually due for me, but if I have a test in the house, I often sneak one early at CD23(or whatever my app says is 10dpo- I take my temp and track my cm). Hope this helps!

@Mrs. D: 6/26 is correct.
In related news, I got some aggression out with the weed whacker and now I'm enjoying a beer and waiting for Indian food. Small consolation.
Little bee will come when they're good and ready. A tarot reader told me that souls choose their parents when they reenter the physical world, ready for another go-round at life. My baby's out there, somewhere...

I got a squinter of a BFP this morning (11dpo) on a cheap test! Confirming tomorrow with a digital. Ahhhh!!! Literally read the positive at 5am as my toddler was waking up screaming...
I'm wary of a chemical or miscarriage but hopeful for a successful pregnancy! Looks like due date would be 2/13.

@babybean404: congrats!
I think exciting things are happening here. I have a very very faint positive on a frer. Not enough to post a pic, but it looks the exact same as my 10dpo bfp with my last two pregnancies. You can only see the line of you spin in a circle 3 times and then stand on one leg, but it's there and it came up in the window. I'm going to get another pack of frers today, and hoping tomorrow I have a clear squinter

@babybean404: congrats that was my due date with my son and he was born exactly on that date it's pretty cool
