@Crystal: It'll sound silly, or slightly psychotic. But, I was walking the dogs, and one of my neighbors was coming in with her dog, and she's pregnant! Ugh! At the same time I've been trying to get knocked up, she gets pregnant! Obviously, I have no clue how long she's been trying. I'm walking to the elevator, and another neighbor is starting to show, and she has a 6 month old!! Someone runs to catch the elevator, and guess what? Now they're pregnant too! It seems like my whole darn floor is pregnant except for me

This is already so hard. I can't stop thinking about miscarrying. Tomorrow would have been the day AF was due, so that's my first big hurdle. Every time I go to the bathroom, I'm scared I'm going to see blood. Every little twinge and cramp freaks me out.
I'm napping everyday (yay summer!) and trying to mostly take it easy. I do walk for exercise, but that's the only thing I've done the last few years, so it's my normal. I'm trying to drink plenty of water, too.
If something bad is going to happen, I just hope it happens really early. I'm a nervous wreck!

@mrs. tictactoe: Oh no! Sweetie, you are pregnant. Try to take it day by day, and remember today you are pregnant, and that's all that matters. You've got a little bean growing in there!
p.s.- the thought of a daily nap sounds heavenly!

@mrs. tictactoe: I agree with @dc yoga bee! I have heard others tell themselves, "Today, I am pregnant." and just take it day by day. I can 100% understand your worry, and will likely have the same fears, but just try to breathe.
Big (((hugs))) sweetie, we are here for you.
@dc yoga bee: Ugh, I feel you on that one. It seems like everyone is pregnant except me right now too. This process just seems so long, especially because there is no end day in sight to strive for. Meh.

@dc yoga bee: Yes! I feel like everyone is pregnant. I went to a street fair this past weekend and lost track of the pregnant women or people with babies. Everyone but us!

@mrs. tictactoe: that little bean is sticky I just know it!
@dc yoga bee: good lord! That blows. I hope you are flaunting your bump soon.

@MrsMccarthy: Awe thanks!
Ladies, I can't bring myself to use the instead softcups. Now, I've spent the past 30min reading horror stories of them getting stuck, rubbing your hooha raw trying to get them out, and trips to the ER!!

thanks for the cheer up, earlier, ladies. the day did get better. I checked another OPK when I got home tonight just to make sure...I still don't really understand because I was checking every day like usual and normally I see the nice "fade in" effect and this time all I got was one that was almost positive on day 12 and then negative before and after. I'm very confused! I hate feeling like the cycle was "wasted" because of poor BD timing and thus unlikely to get pregnant...this is cycle 9.

@dc yoga bee: You could probably find similar horror stories about tampons I don't think there is anything dangerous about soft cups; I've been using one of the non-disposable type menstrual cups for my periods for years and I (and everyone else I know) LOVE it. You save a ton of money not buying tampons. I have not considered using it after sex; has anyone seen any actual research/medical recommendation that it helps conception? It just seems like it could be one of those folk wisdom kind of things- I'm curious if it's for real.

@PawPrints: so I tried to use it, and freaked out! Felt like it was going to get lost!
@sapphire: Awe, don't feel like it's a wasted month! I hope you get your bfp soon (((hugs((
nectarine / 2192 posts
@PawPrints: I love my menstrual cup. I have tried it after BD, but my paranoid self is worried that if there is any suction when removing it, that it will ruin everything. Am I just crazy?
honeydew / 7295 posts
@sapphire: can you just try to BD every other day from day 10 till day 20 or so? That's what I would do but I guess you any retroactively do so. I only had sex once on O day and I got KU. All it takes is one day within 2 days or so of O or at O. Don't lose hope.
@AmeliaBedilia: after about an hour anything that is gonna stick around should be up through your cervix. I wouldn't sweat it.
nectarine / 2173 posts
@MrsMccarthy: yeah we basically try every other day but me working this weekend made that difficult (worked 13 hour overnight shifts). I would have tried harder if I knew O was earlier. Thx for putting it into perspective though...never know what will happen.
@dc yoga bee: sorry about all the preggers ladies you saw today. That always gets to me too.

I spent time last week at the magic kingdom. Holy hell did that make my ovaries hurt. All those adorable little babies and parents with multiple little ones and another on the way. Ugh.

@dc yoga bee: I've been using a reusable menstrual cup called the mooncup for years now too. Hate the idea of tampons now, so drying. You cant loose one as you vagina is only a few inches long (unless of course you have a huge cavernous vaj...)

@dc yoga bee: First, you need to get yourself a good picture of the female anatomy. That thing isn't going anywhere.
@PawPrints: I have never seen any actual evidence, I just have my own experience, which is this: normally, even if I lay down for 30+ minutes, I get a lot of spillage. If I use a SC, I don't get any leaking, even after I take it out. I usually leave it in for a couple of hours, but will absolutely go overnight if it's bedtime. When you take it out, there's some in the cup, but not a ton. :shrugs: I've gotten KU twice using the SCs, so I'm a believer.
But I'm also realizing lately that everyone has their TTC "things" - things they can't/won't give up and things they believe in. For example, I won't give up wine or coffee during the TWW and I use saliva ( ), but I also refuse to take Advil during the TWW and stand by my SCs.

@septca: LOL I know it isn't going anywhere, I watched the video of how to insert it. I just couldn't let go knowing there's no string attached to it!
I think it's interesting about all the ttc things people believe in. My mom's friend told her to tell me (and no one knows we are ttc) that in her culture, watermelon is the end all be all for fertility and getting pregnant. She is Cambodian. I was like um thanks mom. Everything is the magic item it seems like.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@dc yoga bee: well, watermelon is *amazing* and it is bloody hot right now, so I'll try it!!

@dc yoga bee: that's interesting. I've heard about pineapple but never watermelon.

Chart help please! Of the last 15 cycles, I ovulated day 16 once, day 14 twice, and day 15 all the rest. I don't do OPKS because I am so regular and they stress me out. My chart isn't showing O yet. The last two days we slept in the basement and woke up a little cold. What do you think?

Well just found out last night my SIL is pregnant with her 3rd baby, not only that but found out my cousin is pregnant too! I am happy for them, I am happy for them, I am happy for them...I will try to be happy for them. Who am I kidding? I am an envious Beyotch! A little back story my SIL touches my brother and she gets pregnant and all she does is complain (ALL THE TIME) about being a mom!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: Gah. That is a tough one. Do you have CM stats? I think it's totally possible that you O'ed at CD15 - or even at CD17, but the last couple of days are throwing everything off.
@ctegge0416: ((hugs)) People who complain about their kids/being moms I just don't understand.
nectarine / 2192 posts
@septca: CM seems to favor CD15, but between conceive plus and lots of BD, it is hard to say. I also need to figure it out if I am doing progesterone. Argh!
honeydew / 7295 posts
@dc yoga bee: I LOVE watermelon! My favorite. When I was in India I was really good about avoiding uncooked street food until I saw a boy selling fresh watermelon! I had to have it!! I lucked out and didnt get sick from it. So delicious!!!
@ctegge0416: I seriously have issue with the complainers. It's one thing to say you are tired or this or that but I hate when people act like their children are a burden and they are martyrs or something for caring for them. Yuck! Mothers should not complain about being a mother they should be grateful. I know I am. I hope you get your baby soon. And that baby is so lucky you will be its momma!
@AmeliaBedilia: I'm gonna go with CD15 too.
Day 10 of my cleanse so I am a 3rd of the way through. If I end up pregnant this cycle in similar fashion to drink till its pink I will cut the cleanse short, or at least will discontinue the tea and supplements. I found an amazing new addiction out here in Portland called The Whole Bowl. It's so good. It's basically brown rice, black beans, cilantro, avocado, black olives, spices and a special tali sauce. I get it without sour cream or cheese since I'm dairy free right now. The sauce is what really makes it scrumptious. I found a recipe for it online and thought I would paste it here since its all good healthy food good for TTCers. I still look forward to a more modified version of this next month but I've found a way to make it delicious. Avocados and bananas are my life force.
Here is the recipe:

@septca: "TTC 'things'" <----- so true. Everyone has their own.
@dc yoga bee: I may start hoarding watermelons.
@AmeliaBedilia: I don't really understand charting, but I would assume your temperatures would be off if you are sleeping in different places. Are you using OPKs? Maybe just keep up the EOD Bding.

Is anyone else holding off buying clothes? I really want to buy a couple of work dresses, but I'm not. I feel like it's pointless - if I get KU in the next couple of months, I won't be able to wear them for long, and I won't be able to wear them next summer... But if I don't get KU, then I will have missed out on cute dresses. Sigh.
honeydew / 7295 posts
@septca: I was but I have since stopped. I felt like it was making me feel worse if I got a BFN and I know I'll be happy with a bfp and less likely to care as much that getting KU ruined my chance to wear a cute new dress. I am actual trying to enjoy my body more before its not just mine and my husbands and putting cute clothes on it helps.
apricot / 278 posts
@septca: yes! I'm with you. I am sometimes tempted to go "shopping" and then I think "what if..." And exactly...won't be able to wear it and if I save it for next year...will my post preggo body fit in them?! And then I think "eff it...be in the moment" and wear them now and enjoy it. It's so annoying! Argh...I always go back and forth'
nectarine / 2192 posts
@septca: I was planning my life around being pregnant, and after this long, I'm giving that up. My opinion: get the dresses you want. If you get your BFP, you'll still be able to wear them a little, and you'd probably be so glad about the BFP that the dresses wouldn't bother you that much. Or, another option: if AF comes, treat yourself.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: This is brilliant!!! Since I won't be eligible again until August, I might as well - I will have all summer to wear them. Thanks! (Really have concerns over my TTC-addled mind that I did not think of this myself...)
nectarine / 2173 posts
@septca: I rationalize *everything* in this way. Clothes, travel, hair coloring, treating my acne... then I get paralyzed by indecision.
I got a flat tire on the way to work this morning. First time ever! I don't usually drive to work but this month I'm off site and have needed to. It blows and of course I don't know how to change a tire so I'm waiting for roadside assistance. I don't like this week!
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@septca: You know I've been shopping. I bought the entire outfit I'm wearing today this past weekend! I worried about it at first, but 7-8 months later I'm still not KU. I am however, enjoying my new clothes!
