@dc yoga bee: oh yes, I made it to work and just waited til lunchtime to take care of it.

@sapphire: Sounds like you've had a rough week- hugs!
I am proud of myself for being so productive today that I'm going to brag. My yard was a DISASTER- so much that every time I got the mail, I have been worried about a nasty-gram from my HOA. I did some weeding this morning, then baked brownies and gluten free blueberry muffins for DH (30!). I worked on getting rid of some stuff in the pantry (totally overstocked and have boxes in the kitchen for the past 2 months from when DH moved back in). I got a bunch of stuff done for my new job. Then my mom came over and we both did 2 more hours of yardwork. The weeds are gone, shrubs are trimmed, and it looks great! I showered and now I'm going to relax and watch some Amazing Race. It is so much easier to get things done when you don't work 9-10 hour days.

@AmeliaBedilia: Wow! That is a super productive day! I hope you found the gardening to be therapeutic. And I hope you are enjoying your vacation. You totally deserve it.

@AmeliaBedilia: Nice Work! I love the feeling of cleaning. To me TTC can be a lot like going through a break up, you have to do so much to distract yourself. A good project always helps.
My Conceive Plus came in the mail and I am so excited! I have never used Preeseed or any sperm lube. I bought some when we were about to try for our first but then we got lucky and had a surprise. I hope it brings me the luck it's been bringing everyone else on this board.
@Septca when do you start POATS?

@AmeliaBedilia: I was gonna guess CD15 too then you mentioned CM which confirms it even more, have you ever been wrong about when you O'd? I'd have doubts but then realise I was always right when AF came right on cue.

@septca: Yes. I finally gave up and bought 4 pairs of pants because things were getting desperate. I also figured that dropping a bunch of money on pants would make me get pregnant this cycle. So far looks like a no, but, at least I have pants!

@TTCbabyP: Welcome! We are a fun bunch!
What's everyone up to tonight? Dh and I just went for ice cream, and now I'm going to pick back up reading The Husband's Secret. It's good so far!

@dc yoga bee: I just finished up a little pint of ice cream while trying not to make eye contact with my vitamins on the table I'm going to look up that book! I just finished with one and need something else!

@dc yoga bee: Ice cream sounds so good! Just had my smoothie for dinner ugh. Now I am gonna start reading the first book from Game Of Thrones Series! I've decided that readin the books is what will get me through waiting for season 5.

@dc yoga bee: I lurve ice cream.
We just finished dinner and are watching game of thrones. We have to BD tonight because I should ovulate soon.
@sapphire: you poor thing!
@MrsMccarthy: thanks for sharing the recipe!
@TTCbabyP: welcome!
@Snowdrop: do you mind me asking what it feels like? I found preseed to be very watery- is conceive plus like natural lube? Or more sticky?
nectarine / 2192 posts
@Crystal: I think conceive plus is more watery than preseed.
FIL is visiting tomorrow through Monday. I want to complain, but I can't since DH spends way more time with my family than I do with his. Normally, an overnight visitor would mean tons of cleaning, but FIL is the worst housekeeper I know, so my definition of a disaster is still clean to him.
grapefruit / 4028 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: silver linings!
Were you able to get any clearer answers on your chart? Sorry I can't be any help- charting is confusing to me still.

After my day, really needed to go out! We went the bar at this lovely Argentinian restaurant near us. The day turned better, esp when the bartender refilled my very yummy glass of sangria for free.

We must've had a bad batch of conceive plus. We got the pre filled ones, and it was the opposite of watery. It caused major friction, which doesn't even make sense I know. Yesterday was O-2, and I felt cramping at night, so we went ahead and BD instead of taking the night off. I got my peak on the monitor this morning so should be o'ing tomorrow. We have hit o-3 and o-2 so far.

Just stopping to say hi to y'all! It has been the hardest week ever. DH's step dad passed away from pulmonary fibrosis last Wednesday. Funeral was Monday. With all that going on, we only hit O day this cycle In better (ish?) news, DH has been avoiding the SA like the plague. I may or may not have had a breakdown and told him he needed to get in the game with me or else! So he agreed to do it after next payday (he is momentarily without insurance- don't tell Obama!) So we will just pay the RE's office $250 to do it in their office. Aaaand I have CD 21 blood work scheduled for Monday. Yippee!
@DC yoga bee: I feel ya on the pregnant chicks everywhere! Church on Sunday was FULL of them. Uggghhhh. But the message at church was all about letting go of control and letting God take His position as the One really in control.
apricot / 278 posts
@organicmama: I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Good luck with th SA and bloodwork!! And I like the message you received from church. Sometimes we have no control over things...like creating new life lol. If you want to be a mommy you will be a mommy. I've learned that I need patience (even though sometimes I feel like my patience level goes away and feel very frustrated). But in life we can't rush things. It will happen when it is meant to happen.

@Crystal: it's strange as it doesn't feel that natural when you squirt it out of the tube but once you aoply it and get going it seems to turn exactly the same as EWCM. I learnt not to use too much though and would squirt a tiny bit inside with a syringe and use a small amount on the outside to make getting startes easier. Now I just use it on the outside.

Hello ladies! I'm going to do my best attempt at catching up. I've been skimming and trying to follow along! Working my way backwards...
Ah, all these stories about pregnant women haunting you ladies! I don't think I know anyone who is KU IRL right now...
@organicmama: I'm so sorry for your loss
@AmeliaBedilia: Wow, sounds like you had a very productive day! Sometimes those days are so rewarding, knowing you've accomplished so much! As for your chart, how was your temp this morning? Based on your temps alone I'd say there's no clear indication of O, yet. It's been a few months since I've given up charting, so I'm not as saavy as I used to be!
@sapphire: Oh no, I'm sorry to hear about the flat tire!
@septca: I waver between "F it, I'm not getting KU anyways, so let's go on a shopping spree!" and, "Ahhhh, but what if this is THE month. What a waste of money, I'll need mat clothes soon!" DH and I have been super frugal lately because of saving for a house so lately that has taken choice out of the equation for me
@MrsMccarthy: How is the cleanse going so far? You're so strong...I can hardly go a week without some sort of delicious fried food and/or beer (especially in the summer!). I'd completely fail at any sort of cleanse
persimmon / 1388 posts
@MrsMcD: I think I remember reading that you scheduled your hsg for next month? And that insurance is covering it? If so, that's awesome!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@doxielove: Ha ha. Sometimes it's fun to read back through this thread and see the crazy that comes out late at night.
@Snowdrop: I have had the same experience with preseed. It says you are supposed to insert it 20 minutes before... and I think it definitely changes during that time.
@organicmama: I am so sorry. ((hugs))
@dc yoga bee: I'm eating my watermelon today!! (And a ridiculous apple fritter doughnut that was singing me its siren song...)
@AmeliaBedilia: Amazing!! You must be feeling so good today. How's your temp?
We have lots of POAS coming up, ladies...
grapefruit / 4770 posts
@septca: LOL at siren song. I'm already hungry from my watermelon, this morning and am thinking about lunch. I'm craving nandos but don't want to walk! Also, I'm trying to drink more water since I should be o'ing soon!

Anyone have any magical ideas to make AF show up?! lol I hate the time when you get a BFN but AF still won't come! The worst part is realizing it said BFN but then getting little symptoms and wondering. I read someone's post that the way they know they're pregnant each time is because they experience vertigo. This morning I got all kinds of dizzy and disoriented and had lots of weird ear stuff going on in one ear. My rational side remembers POAS yesterday and my emotional side is getting confused lol If I'm not ku, I super need AF to come today! I have to shoot an out of town wedding tmrw and I'm stressed about being too sick! Obviously AF could always come on Saturday or Sunday, but then I would still have anxiety all day tmrw thinking it will show any minute lol I have my u/s in 45 minutes and I'm just hoping AF doesn't come DURING that lol If it does, I'll be sure to report back so that everyone can be entertained I hope you all are having a great Thursday!!
coffee bean / 33 posts
Oh! I forgot to add that my temps definitely took a dive yesterday and today so that also helps the rational side of me lol
honeydew / 7295 posts
@doxielove: good to see you back. This is a fast moving board fo sho. The cleanse is going well. I NEVER thought i could do this either. I am an exerciser not a dieter typically. I have failed every juice fast i ever tried but since i can eat on this one that helps. It's doable but I definitely have days where all i want is a coffee and a burger or a chocolate truffle. I hope you are looking at a BFP this month! FX!
@organicmama: I am so sorry. good news about the SA though. I hope you get some good fixable answers..
@septca: apple fritter doughnut! ahhh! Maybe the baby wanted it? heheheh
@TTCbabyP: Welcome! I wish i had answers for you. I get vertigo from time to time but not in early pregnancy. Every woman is different it seems.
CD11 and we are SO CLOSE! I decided to wait until tomorrow to start BD since the earliest i will o usually is CD15 and hubs and i start to lose momentum if we start too soon. I will do EOD until positive OPK then every day from there until O+1 if possible. excited to use my C+!!!

FF is finally saying I ovulated, though I sort of cheated. We slept in the basement, I was cold and my temp was low when DH got up (6:45, when I usually temp). DH put another blanket on me and I slept til 8:15 and presto! I ovulated day 15. I am not sure how much weight to give it.
I also changed my phone wallpaper to this, hopefully it will help me chill out.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: I'll take CD15. Woo Hoo TWW!!! I love that pic.
persimmon / 1388 posts
@AmeliaBedilia: Chart looks good! Even if you did have to "cheat" to get your cross hairs, lol. I think you said your CM indicated you O'd around CD15, so I think FF may be right! (I know CM is my strongest indicator of O).
@TTCbabyP: This is way out of left field and definitely NOT scientific, but I feel like whenever I'm waiting for AF to start all I need is a good BD session and BAM there she is. (Sorry if that's TMI!)
GOLD / pomegranate / 3688 posts
@TTCbabyP: Go buy the most expensive HPTs you can find. That should do it.

I have been cleaning in anticipation of FIL's arrival. His flight was delayed a couple hours, which is fine by me. FIL is pleasant, but we don't have much in common, and I need to entertain him until DH gets home from work. The challenging thing- I have an embarrassing stash of things for our baby in the closet of our guest room (future nursery). So I threw a blanket over everything and put some things on top. DH says that even if he sees anything, he will never say anything. I figured you ladies would understand!
I have never liked baby showers and they are so much worse now. I have vowed to myself to skip them so I don't break down in the middle of someone else's shower. Of course, one of my good friends is moving and having a baby shower/bon voyage party. I knew I would HAVE to go. Then I found out it is on the same day DH graduates- the only excuse that is good enough. So I will take her out to dinner and get her a nice gift instead.
I think I am going to start progesterone tonight, or I am considering checking temp one more time to be sure.
So hard to keep up with this thread but here goes:
@Crystal: FF says I didn't O yet with that time.
@organicmama: Sorry for your loss! And yes, we have so little control.
@sapphire: Is your day going better today? I hope so.
@TTCbabyP: Being in limbo is awful.
@septca: You always make me laugh!
coffee bean / 33 posts
@doxielove and @septca I knew you guys would have great answers! Haha I bet expensive tests would totally bring it on I'm still waiting to have my u/s so I think it might just be waiting for the perfect moment lol
