Just moved into Houston this week from Boston. Feeling so incredibly lonely and out of place. Are there any meet ups planned soon?

I'm coming in a little over a month! Moving from NY, but I went to school in Boston, so I'll be a Northeast transplant too. If you get together after Sept 1st I'll try to be there!
What part of Houston are you moving to?

@spartysammy: Welcome to Houston! I don't think we have anything planned, but we probably can make something happen we do have a fairly active group here, let's see what we can put together!
@travellingbee @lawbee @htownmom @mrsshinerbock @mrspickle
And now I know everyone by their real names and have forgotten screen names, so sorry for those I've left off!

@spartysammy: welcome to Houston! What part are you in? I'm in the energy corridor, but we have bees all over town. If you are close by and want to meet for lunch or something, I'm not working right now so could meet during the week.
@LAZB: need colons after the names to tag people.
I'm up for a meetup. We should definitely do something before the fall craziness starts in. We had talked about taking the littles to a splashpad.

Hi! There are several of us here and we do meetup pretty regularly. We should definitely plan something soon.

I think I am in the energy corridor or close to it. Off Westheimer and S Dairy Ashford.

Hi! I also moved from the NE (NYC). Sorry you've been lonely -- moving is tough, especially so far. There are some awesome HB ladies who live here, many of whom have already commented above! I'm always up for a meetup, though I'll be having a baby in the next four-ish weeks so things might get a little crazy soon

@spartysammy: welcome to Houston! We have been in Houston 6 years and moved from the east coast where are college friends and family still live.
I'm sorry you feeling lonely, it definitely is a big city and easy to feel overwhelmed in.
Maybe we can plan something for the first weekend of August?

LOVE Houston! We moved away a year and a half ago, and I miss it!
Go to NikoNikos. THE best Greek food! You won't get decent pizza there, but NikoNikos is the BEST!

@MamaBehr: I have a good pizza place and I'm from NY!!
@spartysammy: welcome! I'm on the west side too.
Shall we plan a met up ladies?

Thanks ladies, I hope the loneliness will fade once I start work next week. My husband is also still in Boston to wrap up selling our home.
I would love to meet up. Can we plan somethin for next Saturday?

I have a birthday party so I'm out. But I think the movie Bad Moms comes out which would be fun to see!

@HTownMom: that would be super fun! I also lied and realized that I actually have an engagement party next Saturday.
I have plans the first weekend in August too but if that's what works best for everyone else I might still be able to make it

I'm out of town next Saturday as well, but the movie sounds like a fun outing! Welcome to Houston!

Just checking in. Still feeling pretty isolated but better. Want to see if wr can try to agree on dates again

I could do it this or next weekends for the most part. Assuming DH doesn't freak out and assume y'all will attempt to murder me. That's half the reason I've not made it to a meet up yet....

Hi Spartysammy! I live in Houston too, and close to you (near Memorial City). I'd love to meet a new friend.
Would you be interested in meeting at a park with the kiddos on Saturday morning? I know its hotter than hell, but I try to get my kids (almost 3 and 1) out during the mornings to tire them out.

@stillme: @spartysammy: there is a great splashpad and park at Nottingham park. It's close to Dairy Ashford and I-10 in y'all's area of town.

I can't do this weekend or next, but I might be able to do brunch on the 28th

@mrs.shinerbock: yes I think that works for me! I would love to come. MIL might be coming to Houston for a work trip at the end of August but I don't know what days or times so don't plan around me.
I'm excited to try some more restaurants! All the different food here is something DH and I love about Houston.
