but were your cycles pretty regular before you started the pill? 30 days isn't really that long if your cycles were irregular before.

I was like @Rainbow Sprinkles. It took me months to get back to a normal cycle length. The first was 60 days, then 45. I went through a lot of HPTs in that first four months!

@fuzzypeaches: I agree, test!

However, buy a dollar store cheapie! Seriously, they are $1 and they work fine. Sometimes the line can be faint and you want to follow up with a digital but save your money!

It took my cycles several months to regulate after BCP - I think the first month was like 36 days, Then maybe 34, then like 40 and I got pregnant but miscarried and then my cycles were a little wonky again after that.

@FuzzyPeaches - I start the sugar pills of my last pack of BC tonight. So we're kinda in the same boat except you're a month ahead of me! I wanted to let myself have a month to regulate but DH doesn't want to wait any longer. And I really don't think my body will have a problem regulating anyways. We'll see though!

@fuzzypeaches: My first cycle off BCP was about 40 something days, then it went down to a normal around 30 after that. I'd stock up on a few cheapies so you can set your mind as ease while your body sorts itself out. I know for myself, the anxiety of not knowing-- even when I was almost certain I couldn't be pregnant-- was the worst. For a dollar, I could take a test and know I was just being crazy and go about my day (and have a glass of wine!).

Oh and I would get really sore boobs from about a week after O until I got my period, every month, so I knew it wasn't a preg symptom for me.

@fuzzypeaches: I got pregnant the first cycle going off BCP. I tested and it was negative. One week later I still didn't have my period so I tested again. I just wanted to have my period so I could really start charting but lo and behold I got a BFP

@fuzzypeaches: I had no problem regulating after BC (sorry no help there) but I hated waiting for AF to show so I always tested early. HOWEVER, I hated wasting money on tests as well. I suggest going to the dollar store and stocking up on tests from there (sense you plan on ttc anyways) and have a digital on hand just encase the cheep one comes up positive. GOOD LUCK!
