Juggling baby & typing so I'll be concise
LO is 4m, teething and got shots today...no fever but has been crying ALL FRIKN DAY!
god help me...I don't know how I'll get through the night. Ah!
Any tips?
P.s: took his 3 naps but nothing longer than 25mins..ahhh :((

Tylenol (for him). And just know this too shall pass. We had a horrible 4 months shot visit, as well. I hope your lo sleeps tonight for you!! Hugs, mama.

Oh poor baby, poor Mama. I second the Tylenol + lots of cuddles. E did alright with his 4 months but his 2 months were awful. He was feeling a lot better by the next day!

Have you tried the 5 S's? Swaddle, Sssshhhhhhh, Swing, Suck (paci) and Side-lay?
My LO doesn't often get unconsolable, but when she's having a rough time, these tend to help her to calm down.

@mediagirl: @FutureMrsMcK: will do! How much? He weighs 15lbs and it doesn't say on the Tylenol bottle.
@MaisyMay: oh yes. He is beyond any of that:( I love the 5-Ss but that's a no-go for him today:/

@TurtleDoves: I would call your ped for the dosage or just give him the smallest dose. Hope he sleeps ok for you tonight. Poor baby.

@TurtleDoves: At that age I used half a syringe...2.50 ml, although when he started teething around 4.5 months my pedi okayed us giving him a full dose (5.0ml)...he was a little heavier than yours, though. I found 2.5 took the edge off and let him sleep, which is what he needs.

Tylenol & rock him to sleep. Ahh...so,so scared for tonight. He has been sttn since 8w so I am not used to waking up at night at all anymore.

@TurtleDoves: Liv 15lb11 at her 4m and they told me 3, but when I called when she was 13lb they said 2.5 was fine. Every 4 hr is ok!

@TurtleDoves: poor dear!! I'm sorry you're having such a hard day. The Tylenol really helped M after her shots. She's not a fussy baby but the shots really upset her. 
Let us know how it goes.
I gave her the lowest amount - the first line. I'd call your ped to check dosage amounts.

My pediatrician said the lowest dose around that time I think...Or was it at 2 mo? Either way the lowest dose of tylenol should be fine. I didn't use it for shots but the one time I did use tylenol it made LO sleeeeepy.

@TurtleDoves: I'm sorry. I don't know if you've tried it, but we've also just sat in the steamy bathroom and let little miss chill. Good luck. It can't last forever. Hugs.

Thanks everyone...clearly I am still awake:) but the Tylenol turned him from hysterically crying >to> just a bit cranky but way better.
Now Dh&I shall beg him to close his eyes & nod off

@TurtleDoves: when LO got her shots Tylenol and non stop nursing did the trick. But I think I remember you saying your little guy is on nutramigen now so hopefully he'll take a paci in place of nursing. Also maybe a bath to calm him? I hope you both get some rest!!

@TurtleDoves: For future ref, BabyCenter has a handy dosage chart (weight based) for acetaminophen and ibuprofen. I google it every time I have to give LO meds. Just watch for the difference between the older concentrated drops and the new stuff!
