I don't believe that he fathered a child with a nasty looking girl who's 3 years older than he is... but I wonder.
What would possess a girl to demand a paternity test and file a law suit if it wasn't true..? A payout to drop the suit?
Thoughts?

In this particular case, I think it's just a ploy for 15 minutes of fame and $$ from the trashy tabloids that will pick anything BIEBER-related.
It's a shame that this has caused so many people to doubt his faith and undermine his character. I don't know much about JB, but I have heard that he is a strong Christian and if this scandal turns out to be true; it's going to be very damaging to his image.

Unless she's crazy and just looking for her 15 minutes of fame, I'm sure she must have quite a bit of reason to believe that it is his. If a paternity test says that the baby is his, he'll be financially obligated to help support it and that would obviously be hugely beneficial to this woman.
If it comes back negative after she's admitted to sleeping with him, the only thing she'll be looking at are statutory rape charges.

@Mrsjyw, I didn't even think about money from tabloids. That probably has a lot to do with it!

@Jenna or JB can counter sue for libel/slander.
I'm thinking he shouldn't even bother with a paternity test. If he takes a test this time, who's to say other girls won't make similar accusations and demand he take paternity tests for them... ?
Sucky situation to be in.

I heard on the radio that this woman has a sworn affidavit that Bieber is the daddy so she can go to jail if it turns out to not be true?

@Andrea-- I heard that, too! But because it would've been statutory rape. Ha!

I'm almost inclined to belieber her. She faces more trauma and stigma by coming forward than most crazies. There's like a $5k fine and some other goodies that go along with the statutory rape claim.

I'm sure her lawyers advised her of the risks of a making a claim like this. If she is just lying for fame then its kinda foolhardy since she will lose more money if it all turns out to be a lie. I think she really believes its her baby

I dunno, most crazies don;t take the step of demanding a paternity test and sueing for child support, she could get just as much tabloid mileage, with less risk, without taking those legal steps. I think there must be something to it.

Oh I really doubt it's true, but the girl's already gotten a magazine cover. That's her reason. Fame.

The part about how the *ahem* incident lasted 30 seconds just ruined it all for me.
Hopefully she gets the help she needs if it is not true.
