Do we need the infant insert for our keekaroo high chair? We aren't planning to start solids before she can sit up well / 6 months... So it seems unnecessary?

Bumping this - we just got a keekaroo from my IL's but no infant insert...

We have it and it's nice for sitting her properly but cleaning is a mess because the food falls in the holes on the insert. I would try it first and see if it works. We had to prop her up for a bit before she was solid. @Ocean girl:

We have it and the infant insert ensures that LO sits nice and tight agains the tray. We haven't tried it without the insert and LO is almost 14 months old.

@Ocean girl: we decided not to get one, and she has been fine without it. We started using the chair at around 6.5 months. She seems very comfortable and happy without it!

@birdofafeather: @hilsy85: @Silva: thanks ladies! I think we may get one. It cants hurt and I think meals may be easier without her focusing on balancing!

Our neighbors sat one of these on the curb with a 'free' sign on it. THANK YOU!! We need to buy the cushions, but otherwise, it's in perfect shape. Excited to see this thread!
