The last couple of nights have been pretty cold here, in the 30s and high 20s last night. We live in an old apartment building with a coal furnace. Well, it looks like our radiators are having some problems and haven't putting out any heat I've spoken with my landlord and he's looking into it. My husband works nights so it's just me and baby (10 weeks). I've been worried about it being too cold for him. I don't know what the actual indoor temperature is, but it's cold. We've all been wrapped in blankets. I've been dressing LO in foot pajamas and sleeper sacks, then having him sleep on my chest/stomach with both of us covered up. I've been feeling his chest to gauge how warm/cold he is. This morning I decided that if my landlord doesn't get the heat situation up and running by tomorrow night, I was going to buy a space heater for the room. But DH's company didn't get his paycheck in today when it was suppose to come in, so I wouldn't be able to get one until Monday.

Like I said, I've been using his chest as a gauge as to how cold he is - but will he let me know he's too cold? Like by crying? Any advice on how to better stay warm, if how I'm dressing him is okay/the best solution, things to worry/not worry about that I may not know/realize etc? The worst is middle of the night diaper changes while it's so chilly - he's definitely not happy about those!
