He was a radio personality in Dallas. I've listened to his morning show for as long as I can remember!!! He also ran a charity calledKidds Kids that took terminally and chronically ill children to Disneyworld each year.
So sad. It was a brain anyerism I believe. He was 53.

I am so devastated by this. I started listening to the show in junior high and felt like I grew up with them. I even ran into Big Al at a restaurant once and was a total embarrassing fangirl about it. So sad for his real and radio families right now.

I am still in shock. I grew up with him and can't believe he is gone. He touched so many lives in so many ways. We really did lose one of the good ones yesterday.

@Boopers: the show will continue. There are to many big personalities and too big of a fanbase for it to be cancelled. Besides they do the show without him all the time when he was away on trips like this. It won't be the same but I don't see it going away.

Wow. I listened to that show in the morning when i used to live in Dallas. So sad!! I can't believe it... And he was so young!

I was in complete shock when I heard this. Loved listening to his show in the morning! It will never be the same. I'm so sad for his real and radio family.

I am sooo sad about this. I've listened to him forever. Today's show made me cry when they were all talking about him. I feel a little silly for taking it so personally when I didn't even actually know him, but that's the kind of show it was; you felt like you knew all of them.
@Mrs Hedgehog: I hope you're right. I think it will probably continue at least on Kiss FM, but I don't know if it will still be syndicated. Fingers crossed since I'm out of the metroplex for another year!

This is really sad! He has been on the radio for as long as I can remember. Like back in elementary school when we used to call and request songs. I HATE morning shows and always flip when I hear (heard?) him talking, but still he was such a fixture!

I know this is old, but I was listening this morning and they are doing Kidd's Kids Day on air today. It was Kidd's charity to provide chronically ill and/or physically challenged children a trip (with their families) to Disney World.
So if you have the means to donate, I'm sure it would feel really good to do so!
