Hellobee Boards

DH, DD, and I all wear bog boots. We love them! They keep our feet warm but don't feel too heavy when walking around. We have purchased bogs for DD since she was two. I have the tall ones but am thinking about getting a short pair for errands and quick trips when there isn't much snow.

That said I know a lot of kids with those bean boots and they are overall happy with them! I think some feel they are a little clunky but some kids don't seem to mind.

Love Bogs for kids too, but I found that the back is a little low and snow can get in pretty easily. Curious for other suggestions too!
I LOVE my Sorels!! Have you tried different styles? I found that some styles, like their Joan of Artic are really wide and heavy, but their Tofino boot (this is the one I have) is much slimmer and comfortable to walk around in.

@Lemonjack: I had LLBean boots growing up....they were awsome....so much so - that at 35 years old, I still wear the ones bought as a teenager (when my feet stopped growing)!!!!

The removable insert is great - very cozy, but easy to take out and put next to the heater to dry

For kids I definitely recommend the removable inserts - last year winter caught us off guard and I had to make an emergency run to the only place that was open, the grocery store, at 7am before dropping the kids off to school. You may not be surprised to hear that grocery store winter boots didn't hold up terribly well through a hard winter. This year I planned better. That being said, I also bought an electric boot warmer - they're like shoe-form shaped things that go into your boots and dry them - and they were great.

For myself, I have a pair of Sorels for when it's seriously winter and I'm going to be outside for a bit, but I also have Manitobah Mukluks, which are much sleeker and much cuter but not as warm.
