muppet babies! but i watched everything from smurfs, he-man, she-ra, thundercats, gi joe, transformers, rainbow brite, richie rich, ducktales, alvin and the chipmunks, teenage mutant ninja turtles, scooby doo, snorks, johnny quest, heathcliff, inspector gadget, jetsons, beverly hills teens (ha remember that?)...

I remember watching Clifford: the big red dog, The magic schoolbus. The Jetsons, The flintstones, Salute your shorts, Doug, Clarissa explains it all, Tiny Toons, Captain Planet.

I did love Jimmy Neutron a couple years ago. My nephew who was 8 used to call me and tell me that he was watching my favorite cartoon.

@bluestriped bee: omg i can still sing the entire tiny toons theme song! that came out when i was in high school, but i was still watching cartoons then.

@runsyellowlites: haha I just read your reply and love that you mentioned Phineas and Ferb! DH and I find it surprisingly entertaining too!! Like we literally LOL at some of their stuff

I was watching Doug recently and I liked how at the end of the cartoon, there was a lesson to be learned. I loved Sailor Moon as a child and I remember they had a 'Sailor Moon says...' part at the end. I haven't watched anything recently since I don't have kids but do any of them have a lesson anymore?

@Rosie Girl: Yeah, even as we got older, the shows we watched have lessons. I remember Saved By the Bell would have a lesson to learn. I don't think they would come out an admit it but I still learned something. Also, I love Full House and Family Matters.

I definitely am not loving all the new cartoons and so-called "kid" shows that are out now. There are very few that seem age appropriate. I have no idea what I'll allow our child to watch when the time comes!!

I also cant stand all the "newer" cartoons. Spongebob square pants just confuses me, the whole concept is bizarre. What happened to looney tunes, woody wood pecker and bugs bunny and good old tom and jerry?
