What do you bring to your kid's classroom to celebrate their birthday, if you know some kids have allergies, like milk and wheat intolerance? I know fruit is always an option, but it's not as fun as cupcakes and cookies.

We are bringing Popsicles for my daughter's 3rd Birthday and those are usually a hit!

Popsicles would be a hit in my son's class too!
For mine, my son is the one with the milk allergy, so I just made dairy-free cupcakes with dairy-free frosting and I sent in the ingredients (or packaging) so that the teachers could review the ingredients in case there were any other allergies in the class I wasn't aware of.
I know when other parents bring in stuff that Xander can't have, the teachers usually give him something safe they have on hand, like oreo cookies (they are dairy-free). But I'm not sure if your school has food on hand like that.
Do you know the specific allergies? Is it milk and wheat?

Everything in our classroom has to be store-bought, so I usually bring fruit, cheese in fun shapes, or something sweet. The only thing we can't bring is anything with nuts right now (nut-free school) because the student who does have food allergies is allergic to like 18 things and his mom provides all of his food, including a treat on birthdays.

@Adira: One of the kids DS plays with is milk and wheat intolerant (ran into his parents at dinner one night). I'm not sure if any of the other kids have allergies, and if so, what kind.
@avivoca: holy moly. That's gotta suck majorly to have that many allergies and then as a parent to be on top of it!
