@kjpugs: My husband still has two baby teeth, and my cousin has 4 of them. My mom (dental hygienist) says it happens more than you would think. So, you're not alone! (It does make me paranoid about keeping DD's teeth super clean now - haha)

I don't have any wisdom teeth and a couple of adult teeth. Such a neat image. It really puts teething into perspective.

@BabyBoecksMom: too funny! My dentist said it was genetic (I'm adopted and my siblings aren't, so I'm the only one in my family.) My youngest sister actually had 3 front teeth so they had to remove one. They would always joke she should give it to me!

@Running Elley: when babies are born, most adult teeth have just started forming, so they're only tooth buds. The root formation on permanent teeth starts eruption and resorption of primary roots for exfoliation!
