This is one of those posts where I'm just ranting to rant - and promise to be okay once I finish

Our plans were to go up to the campground this weekend but we were hitting a few road blocks. A) We're low on funds. It doesn't make sense for us to spend the money on gas, food, etc. when we have everything we need here. B) We're in that in-between stage with the kids. DS could probably sleep on the couch (which folds down into a bed) with a toddler rail across it and DD could sleep in the PnP but really? Both kids need a PnP. He's too little. She's definitely too little. And there's no possible way to fit two PnP in the Airstream and co-bedding is out of the question.

So we decided to stay home and have a nice relaxing weekend.

I'm a full time SAHM. It never feels like we have a 'nice relaxing weekend'. There's always something around the house to accomplish since we just moved here six months ago and are still adjusting/fixing/etc. Then of course there's the whole can't go anywhere because of the heat wave hitting the south and us still not having a car with working A/C that can fit both car seats. We would have to go on outings really really early in the morning to avoid making the kids uncomfortable.

We'll probably go to the park. May hit a few nearby stores (like Goodwill and Big Lots, oh the glamour). But the whole 'holiday' feeling of this weekend that I was looking forward to - getting away from the house, the neighbors, etc. for a little while - is just gone. Now I get an extra long weekend of the same old same old. With maybe a cookout with my parents coming over.

It just... sucks. Please tell me someone is having a better weekend than I'm going to have!
