I have a friend whose sister and SO (and her, for a good long while) were updating her labor progress on FB...like:

"4 cm and fully effaced!"
"6 cm, M is in a lot of pain, trying out the tub!"
"8 cm, M demanded an epidural"
"10 cm, ready to push!"
"Been pushing for over an hour now!" "You know what they say about pooping during delivery? Yeah..."
And then immediately posting the birth stats once their DD was born.

I was excited to here she was having the baby, but it felt like a bit of an overshare! We posted a quick update after I was settled into the hospital with an epidural...something along the lines of "We're going to have a McBebe today!" and then an update very very late that night announcing his birth (and only then because my dad had already done it...)

I did post on here, though! I started a freaking thread about it! And read everyone's comments while I was happy and epiduraled. I guess I find this site different then FB, or other social media--I don't feel like anyone would find constant L&D updates TMI.

Did you let FB/HB/Twitter/other social media sites know when you were having your LO? Did you or your SO update all throughout? Would you?
