I took Spanish in junior high and high school. I took Japanese and Korean in college.
Have you taken any language classes?

I took some French in middle school but was bad at it. I started Latin in seventh grade and continued all the way through college!

Spanish in middle school, high school, and college. I really want to be able to speak conversational Spanish--I understand it and read it okay but speaking it is another story.

@Alivoo01: samers! Chinese school every sunday for almost a decade! Did you retain it?
I also took French for 10 years! (elem + high school)

@Mrs. Lantern: I retained a good amount. I can read a lot of words, but some words look familiar and I'm totally clueless. I can speak conversationally, but doubt I could use it for work or anything. You?

Spanish in 9th and 10th grade. Also, I had to take 4 semesters of Spanish in college for my degree. I didn't like it at the time, but I'm glad to have a relatively good understanding of the language and can speak it a little (would be a lot better if I was more immersed in the language/culture obviously).
I also went to Hebrew school from age 2-15. I can speak no Hebrew. Ha.

@Alivoo01: I unfortunately have not retained all too much
I think with practice it could be better. I'm hoping to speak lots of it to LO one day.

My bachelors is in French, I lived in France for a year after graduating but I am definitely rusty these days! I also took 3 years of Italian in college but to be honest I didn't get much out of them, we spent so much time drilling verb conjugations but it does you no good if you don't know any other words (or sentence structure...)
