Has anyone watched the Laugh and Learn DVDs in place of an actual childbirth class? My doctor said it was an acceptable option, and for some reason I'm not so keen on attending a class. Thoughts?

I didn't. But one plus about attending the actual class- there are many pregnant women there who share the same worries, fears, questions, etc. and it's nice to be able to talk to them about it.
Although I guess you could get that all out here.
