Today DH left for work for 4 days, my dog was attacked in my front yard and injured, and my 2 year old has some virus with horrible diarrhea that has blistered his bottom, resulting in diaper changes that leave us both crying.
I'm 2 glasses of wine I and just have to laugh. Anyone else out there want to commiserate ?

Ugh that is not a great start to a solo parenting gig. I'm sorry- I hope everyone is ok! We had a morning where everything was just going wrong, no sleep, toddler tantrumming, and finally everyone was calm when the baby just projectile spit up EVERYWHERE. like soaked her front and back, came shooting out her nose. And DH and I just sat there and watched and laughed because of course that was the morning that would happen.
I really hope the rest of your week is easier!!

DD2 has been sick with HFM since Wednesday. Yesterday was the worst and my back and hips are killing after holding a 26lb toddler (pretty much) non stop for 3 days. She's a mommy's girl.

The dog is stitched up and on pain meds. I really was freaked out because the other dog attacked our dog with my LO standing right behind them and I waded into the fray because I had visions of him being attacked . What a mess. And my poor kids bottom is so awful and he keeps asking me to kiss his boo boo whole I change him

@Tanjowen: have toy tried Vaseline on his bum? Cleared up a rash LO had when diaper cream wasn't cuttng it. Sorry to hear about your day.

Yeah, I'm having a shit day. I officially gave up trying to breastfeed today (it wasn't working but I had a plan and was trying very hard and pumping her feeds) as a direct result of my toddler not coping at all with the transition to big sisterhood. I'm angry. And heartbroken. But I see no other way.

@Cherrybee: i m so sorry. I had to quit BF earlier than I wanted and it's painful. It's okay to feel what you're feeling. I hope big sis adjusts soon.

@Tanjowen: that was actually a few weeks ago. We have had projectile spit up in a while at least.
@Cherrybee: I'm so sorry to hear this. I know you really wanted it to work and really tried. The transition to two is not easy at all, at least here it hasn't been, so if this can make it a little easier, that's not nothing. Sorry to hear E is having a hard time. I do think it's partly just the age too. Things are starting to get better here (G is 4 months today) but it's been a long process. I try my hardest to remember it's a bigger transition for her than it is for me, but it's soooooo hard some days. Good luck and it will get better. And one day they will be old enough to play together and then it will really be worth it (so I am told). And congrats on the baby!!
