Anyone a Martha Stewart type cleaning whiz? I took out my fave shirt of DS’s and saw it has huge dark stains on it. It looks like an oil stain BUT I am 100% sure it is actually a soap/detergent stain, like from too much of the laundry pac getting on it. It’s a polo (pique weave) and I really don’t want to toss it. Anyone have any tips on how to get it clean?

I’ll not good at stuff like this but my mom swears by lestoil for tough stains.

Fels Naptha bar. It got actual grease/oil stains out of a Nike outfit DS had, after it had been washed/dried already.

Yeah you can get Fels Naptha at Walmart for cheap as well. I like just rubbing the dry bar into whatever stains I have and then huck it into the wash!

@lioneyes: did you try just rewashing it? This recently happened to a pair of my new jeggings (I was also certain it was the pod). I sprayed it with either OxyClean or Shout and it came right out. I would try to rewash it and then let it line dry (so the dryer doesn't set the stain).
Also, I subsequently learned I've been doing it all wrong. You're supposed to throw the pod in first, not last. However, I'm probably the last to know that

@sweetcaroline WHAT! i didn't know that either. ugh! will try oxiclean stick first since I have it, then if it doesn't work use the fels naptha which is now on its way from amazon

@gingerbebe: yes! Fels naptha! I reach for it after oxiclean powder/spray/soak can’t get a stain out (and they get 98% of stuff out).
