We are entering the Leap Reader world. My daughter has a friend who is a bit older who has one and she was obsessed, so I just purchased one to keep her busy and out of her daddy's hair while I'm on a trip and he has a lot going on at work.

Problem is, I bought a couple books that I thought she would like for the characters but besides the read-to-me functionality, the other game stuff is above her comprehension and I'm worried it will backfire and she'll be bugging him to help her. I decided against the Junior because she's bright, was at the upper end of that age range anyway, and the books and setup of the Jr seemed below her level. But now it seems like she might be at an in between limbo age for the regular leapreader based on the books I got.

Are any of the books appropriate for a just-turned-3 year old who knows all letters/numbers by sight but is otherwise very pre-reading? Most of the "games" I tested in the books were much more advanced and required some basic reading skills.

Thanks for any suggestions!
