I'm open to using a leash or backpack leash for our kids at crowded events.
DH... not so much. He has had friends tell him that he should be open to it and to wait til he has kids to turn it down.

If I'm at disney, or my kid is a spirited child who does not listen, I would do it. Otherwise it's a no for us.

I am a leash fan having worked at a zoo and found countless lost kids. I was also a wanderer as a kid, so I assume our son will be too.
My husband is hugely anti-leash. I made him watch the Modern Family last season when they go to Disney. It was hilarious!

I think leashes are fine but DH is really against them, so it's a no-go for our family.

We both agree that a leash will be okay. Before I saw how active my nephew is, I thought they were horrid, now I'm all over the idea!

I would definitely use a harness if LO ends up being a running tyrant! I am also all about semantics so I would refer to it as a harness and not a leash :).
(it's like how my mil calls my dog's collar a choker and his crate a cage...we don't have a wild animal as a pet!)

We bought a leash. It is another way to provide more yesses. He can walk or run and not get too far away. He won't always have to be carried or in a stroller. I wasn't sure I would be a fan, but he likes it.
