Do you do this?? Does your other half?

I guess this is a vent! It's a good natured vent, though! Honestly! My husband is an amazing guy. He easily does 50% of all the housework, sometimes more. He does at least half of the parenting duties. I have no real complaints..... except this one. He leaves a trail of destruction behind him in the house!!!

He is the king of the use-and-drop. Eat something - leave the wrapper on the arm of the sofa. Make some food in the kitchen - leave everything you've used scattered over the worktop, including empty packages (less than a metre from the bin). Take off your clothes - leave them on the floor where you were standing. If he takes something out of a drawer, he leaves the drawer open. If he uses something in the bathroom, he leaves it on the window sill so every day I put his deodorant, shaving gel, hair wax away in the cabinet. It drives me crazy!!

Like I say, he is a great husband and father. He does way more laundry than me, for example, because I'm much more likely to put it in the hamper and close the lid (out of sight out of mind!). But this one thing pushes my buttons daily!! Yesterday, we had a bit of an argument because I huffed when I picked up his shoes (which were in the middle of the lounge floor, where he had kicked them off on his way to sit down to watch football). He objected to my huffing. I objected to him not putting his shoes away, or his coat, or his keys, or the pile of change he had taken out of his pocket - ugh!

This is normal, right?! In every couple there's someone who is like this, surely, and someone who is crazy like me?!

Fess up! Is the destruction trailler you? Or your SO?
