When you first did it, how old was LO? Was it just a few hours or overnight? How did it go?

We did it when he was like 12 weeks, though we had left him for brief periods during the day previously. It was great!
We have a date night this weekend, too : )

We left him with my mom when he was 6 weeks old to watch American Wedding for two hours.

We had dinner last night, gone for an hour. She is 3 1/2 week old, hard to leave but great to have some couple time.

He was 16 weeks old when we had our first date night. We went to a concert for my birthday. We had a great time but apparently our babysitters (Grandpa and his wife) had a hard time getting him to sleep.

LO is 11 weeks and we still haven't left him with anyone...I'm trying to get up the courage to do it soon so I'll let you know when it happens!

We plan on doing it for a movie date sometime in Dec to watch the last Twilight movie. Leaving him with my mom or DH's mom for a few hours.

We had to leave DD at 6 months for work function. We were gone about 2 hours, and begged off early so we could go home.
We haven't left DS yet, but we'll have to for the company Holiday party; he'll be 8.5 months.

We just did a couple weekends ago. We definitely want to get better about it.

I think LO was 3 weeks old when we left him with my sister for a couple hours during the day. We went to a movie and he was napping the whole time. He was probably about 3 months old when we did an actual date night and went to dinner for a couple hours.

I don't even remember .... but I know we waited awhile. I'm sure we just went to dinner for like an hour and then straight home. Now that lo's 15 months we go weekly if we can get a babysitter.

We left her with my mom when she was 3.5 weeks old and went out to dinner. We also left her with my mom at 8 weeks and DH's mom at 11 weeks to go to weddings, those trips were a little longer.

We did a lunch date when LO was 4 weeks. We left her with my mom. I don't remember the first time we left her at night. We waited until she had a real bedtime so we knew she wouldn't even notice we were gone!

We had date nights when we were in Florida with my husband's parents. They were early nights - got home by 7 at the latest - but we got away. She was about 3 months.
I don't know when we will feel comfortable leaving her with a sitter or someone who isn't family, though....

We did it when she was almost a month old and we were gone long enough for dinner and grocery shopping. My MIL, BIL and his gf watched her and sent us lots of pics!
