The what's for dinner thread made me think about how I love cold left over pizza!
It was actually one of the questions I asked my OB when I was pregnant if it was okay to have cold left over pizza. She said if it has meat I have to warm it up. BOOOO!!
Just wondering if anyone else love cold left over pizza. Haha.

Wait, no cold pizza while pregnant? Even though it's already been cooked? I had no idea. I ate so much cold pizza during my pregnancy, I didn't even think to ask about it!

@KT326: If it had no meat you were okay! But I'm guessing you already had your kid so you are fine. Haha.
It's kind of in line with the cold deli meat. It was cooked once... but kept cold which could have that whatever thing that gets kills when you nuke it for 30 seconds.
I'm going to get hate but I love Hawaiian pizza... and cold Hawaiian is the best! But sadly it has Canadian bacon which is just basically ham slices that needed to be heated.

My husband has gotten me hooked on warming it just to the point that the cheese is soft. Still chilly but easier to eat and enjoy!

I definitely prefer it warmed up in the toaster oven, but I'm not always that patient. Usually I end up eating half a piece cold while I wait for it to heat.
@Raindrop: I never get Hawaiian pizza. I like it but no one else does so I don't push it.

I like to eat it both cold and warmed up. I used to only like leftover pizza cold, but the pizza from my local pizza shop is especially delicious warmed up.

The only person I know IRL that likes it is my dad. No one else likes it!! DH will eat it if it's the only thing around.
I know there is so much hate for it. I have actually been to a restaurant where they didn't offer a version of a Hawaiian pizza so I thought I could just build one but they didn't even offer pineapple as a topping!! So even a pizza place hated the idea of Hawaiian. This was in New York. Lucky in Cali I can have all the Hawaiian I want. Haha.

I just don't get the cold pizza thing, especially for breakfast. I'll eat it cold if I'm starving and can't take the time to heat it, but much prefer it hot.
And I love Hawaiian pizza! I might have to get a Hawaiian pizza soon...

I'll eat leftover pizza if I can rewarm in our toaster oven, but cold pizza is so gross to me & nuked pizza is almost as bad.

There is only one type of pizza I will ever eat cold, and it's from a very tiny shop in my hometown. I especially hate refrigerator temp cold pizza, I'd definitely rather starve.

These pregnancy rules are getting beyond ridiculous. If I bought the meat pizza hot, followed appropriate food safety standards in storing/refrigerating it within a reasonable amount of time to an appropriate temperature, then I see absolutely no need to re-heat the pizza if eating it within a few days. Even though cold pizza is disgusting!

@Raindrop: yeah New Yorkers don't like Hawaiian pizza. I'm from the area which is why no one around me likes it. I'm a pizza snob about some things (especially the crust!) but I'm ok with lots of toppings.

Never heard of no cold pizza while you are pregnant. If it's warm, why does it have to be warmed up.
I prefer to eat pizza heated up, so I always warm up leftover pizza.

@Foodnerd81: Yes! I got the feeling New York frowned on Hawaiian pizza. Haha. It's sad because New York pizza is so good. They say it's the water!

I don't mind eating cold pizza. No to "Hawaiian" pizza. I grew up in Hawaii and now I live in New York so I am doubly offended by it!

I totally eat cold pizza and very rarely warm it up but if I do warm it it's in the toaster oven just to get the cheese soft... that's it. But 97% of the time I eat it cold.
@Raindrop Do you put your leftover pizza in the fridge or leave it out on the counter/in the box?

@Ajsmommy: oh good question! always in the fridge for overnight. Usually just the counter if we eat it for lunch and plan to eat it for dinner. I usually don't heat it up either way. Ha!

my first choice would to eat it out of the oven warm. but after that, i love cold! i'm not sure why but microwaved pizza is not as good. i could oven it, but i don't have the patience for that.
And yes, Hawaiian pizza is the best!

I hate cold pizza! I like to toast it in our little toaster oven and it tastes great, it takes about 7 minutes but it's better than microwaving.

Usually I like it cold. Sometimes, I heat it up - the best way I've found is to put it in a skillet on low-medium heat. It keeps the crust crunchy.
Also, I love Hawaiian pizza but DH hates pineapple so I never get it. @Foodnerd81: Stonehearth Pizza makes an awesome "Hawaiian" with prosciutto and pineapple. Yum!

Uh. I love cold pizza and had no idea that if you're pregnant you're supposed to heat it up if it has meat....OOops.

I LOVE cold pizza. So good for breakfast! I've never heard of heating it up when pregnant.... I feel like everyday there is a new "rule"... I'll stick with my cold pizza
