@pregnantbee: @Purpledaisy: I totally regret asking my OB in front of my husband!!! Haha. He totally made sure I heated up all my pizza personally. :(. I couldn't get any cold pizza passed him.

@Raindrop: That's crazy. I didn't even ask. I eat cold BBQ pizza with Gorgonzola all the time. I'm a rebel.

I don't like cold pizza, but I LOVE cold fried chicken! Sometimes I want KFC just so I can eat it cold.

I love it. I even prefer it to warm pizza. Our Little Caesars has $5 large pepperoni hot and ready pizzas and if we get it for dinner we always get 2 because I love the leftovers cold. So does our youngest son.
Ps. Never even thought to ask and I ate it pretty often while pregnant. All 3 times.

@Raindrop: I'm a food scientist and I disagree with the listeria risk assessment. It isn't like cold cuts at all. The meat is not handled after it is cooked. Cold cuts are sliced and man handled after cooking which is where listeria is introduced. Also you would eat cold pizza within what - 2 days? Listeria doesn't grow that fast. Also, if it were there and growing it would grow just as fast on a cheese pizza.
ETA: I realized pizza is cut after cooking but the pizza is still very hot so I don't think that's at risk of introducing listeria.

@T.H.O.U.: Yess, that is my fave - still cold, but soft cheese pizza. Hot and Ready Little Caesar's please!

I eat it cold, I don't like to heat it up. It's just not the same reheated - it gets soggy and weird. I usually like to leave it out on the counter for about an hour so it's not right out of the fridge though.

Cold is okay but toaster oven is 50000% better.
I'm highly suspicious of that pregnancy advice. I don't think refrigerated pizza topping meat has any higher incidence of listeria than anything else in your fridge. I think deli meat is an entirely different situation.

@Corduroy: Very interesting! I'm wondering if she said that to be safe than sorry. She did seem a little confused when I asked (I bet no one asked before!) and then said that I need to heat it if it has meat.
