My husband's company doesn't give any paternity time (lame) but he's able to use accumulated sick time so he's taking 2 weeks when the baby comes and then 2 weeks to stay home once my leave ends and I go back to work.

My husband took off the week that we were in the nicu, and then went back to work from home right after. No one was taking care of me, and I'm still angry about it. This week he'll take 2 weeks off after we come home, and it should be much better.

DH took three weeks off. All paid - two weeks paternity leave and one week vacation. The first week was when I was in early "false" labor. Honestly, he could have gone back a little sooner. He started to get a little stir crazy and I had plenty of help from my mom. It was almost like I had too much help in some ways. I would have liked him to taken time off when she was a little older and easier to bond with and I was in need of a break!
At his new company, he gets 4 weeks paid paternity leave which I think is great! If we have another LO I am going to encourage him to split it up if they will let him.
