Anyone excited for this movie to come out this Christmas? Oh I am dying with excitement. Tears were streaming down my face as I watched this:
I can't believe they are singing live!!!

Love Les Mis! I'm not always a fan of plays turned into movies though..... especially after Rent. But I do want to see it and give it a try!

Yes, yes, yes! I've read the (whole) book and seen most movie/tv versions, and practically have the soundtrack memorized. I'd LOVE to see it on Broadway sometime!

@artbee: I felt the same way about RENT.... it was disappointing to me. Smae thing with Phantom, but that's to be expected I think because so much of that show is the in-person experience.
I'm hoping Les Mis is good as a movie... I fell in love with Broadway plays after seeing this as a teenager. I could listen to "One Day More" on repeat for days! =)

IS this the same story a the one with Geoffrey rush and liam neeson. I really liked that version, I kinda feel its a bit soon to redo it since the liam neeson was just release in 1998

@MrsLMA: Yes, agreed with Phantom. Chicago was pretty good though.... so there is hope! I never saw Rock of Ages. DH and I kept saying that would be a date night but never go to it

@MrsLMA: Hmmm, I really liked Phantom. But I have never read the book or seen it anywhere besides the movie.

YESSSS, I was so excited when I saw the Les Mis trailer in theaters the other week!! Fave musical EVER, although the promos featuring Anne Hathaway's "I Dreamed a Dream" didn't quite do it for me...

@sweetchic: I loved that part lol. Maybe I just have bad taste in music or don't have a ear for voics. But I thought she sounded great, and I had no idea she could sing.
