I live in Orlando and the winter has been great! Although as you guys look towards the warm weather coming (hopefully) soon, I'm dreading the 5 months of 99 degrees and 99% humidity. I hate summer here. HATE.

We live in Virginia, which I'm sure is warmer than New England, but man this winter has sucked!!

I live in Houston. The high tomorrow is 77 Low cost of living here, too!

Ugh. Winter sucks. I'm in Ottawa aka the North Pole apparently. I would love to live somewhere like San Diego!

I live in Australia, more specifically, in the northern tropics of Australia. It is summer here, which means our temps are in the 90s every day with humidity levels also in the 80-90% range every single a day. Winter temps are about the same, just with lower humidity. It is too hot to do anything outside so we sit in our air conditioned apartment every day wishing we lived in a cooler climate where our toddler could play outdoors without having to worry about deadly snakes, killer insects, and even deadly dirt (yes, the soil here has a bacteria, meliodosis,that can be fatal if it gets into an open wound). We live on a beachfront property but for seven months of the year, the ocean is inhabited by one of the most venomous creatures on earth, the box jellyfish, whose sting kills a fully grown adult in less than two minutes. The water is also inhabited by the extremely aggressive and alarmingly lethal saltwater crocodile year round, as well as sharks of every variety. So basically, we never venture down to the beach. Ever. We do have a very nice pool in our complex though.

Ah yes, being so close to the equator, compounded by the fact that the hole in the ozone layer is directly over Australia, means that the UV index is consistently a 14 or 15 on a 15 point scale. Going outdoors means that we need to be hyper aware of sun safety to the point where it's almost ridiculous and definitely not worth the effort!

So, now that I've just whinged loads, have I made you feel any better about the cold New England weather?!? We'd love to trade with you for a little while!!!

I'm in New Zealand and it's Summer here too. It's been a dry Summer so far and the sunshine has been great!!

@Ree723: I lived in the NT as a kid, and hated it. we lived across the road from the beach too, and NEVER went. I think I probably begged to go every day, but couldn't because of all the charming wildlife

I'm in New Zealand, and it's been beautiful here. mid 70s, slightly breezy, and sunny. amazing, and quite unusual for my city!
