My mom lives in a gated community. There have been a bunch of bad, mischievous things occurring so the HOA installed a new gate system to monitor people in the neighborhood. I doubt anyone wanted to pay for a guards salary, so this is the next best thing. When you drive up to the gate you have to n provide your kicense, state the person's name and address you are visiting. S real person reviews your license. If bad things occur there's at least a number of known "guests" that could be the culprit.

Had anyone else used a system like this? I am always suspicious of the people who *have to* turn around in my cul de sac.
