R had/has some yeast on her vagina, so I am not sure if that is why, but she seems to have found her vagina. She has started playing with it during bath time this past week. Then this morning, she was trying to grab it when she was just in her diaper. And the yeast is pretty much gone at this point.
When did you LO discover themselves in that area?

My LO hasn't yet, but we had some friends over and their 18 month old has discovered hers and kept trying to "explore" herself. The mom was completely beside herself not knowing how to handle it but the doctor told her it was normal, I'm not ready for that!

How old is your LO? My LO went through a phase like that around 4 months. It didn't last long, but it weirded me out! DH thought it was so funny!

LO has been doing this for a while. I want to say that she started at about 12 months or so (she's 17 months). I have to be quick during diaper changes to keep her hands away until she's cleaned up. She once got poop on her fingers from her exploration.
It's so funny, my husband is a little uncomfortable about it but I had to tell him to make sure not to reprimand her for it, it's normal.

He found it at about 18 months but now at 2 1/2 he doesn't want anything touching it.

@brownie: my friends son at that age wouldn't stop touching it. He would stand there with his hands in his pants all the time.

My LO is 15 months old and she has done the occasional touching from maybe 12 months or so? Mostly it's during bath time and occasionally during diaper change.

LO seemed to find his shortly before turning 12 months. He usually notices it during bath time, and sometimes during diaper changes.
