so maybe after our ER visit I'm a little overly concerned but E is now making weird high pitched noises when she inhales (when she is taking an excited deep breath). Does anyone else's LO do this? Dr Google has diagnosed it as stridor.

How old is she? My son randomly started doing this around six or seven months, I think. We took him to the doctor and she also said it's stridor, but didn't find any infection or any reason for it. He just wheezed for weeks when taking a deep breath, but it never bothered him, and then it just stopped. It's a good idea to go to the doctor and make sure it's not an infection or allergy, but it could also be nothing.

I didn't see your post about the ER visit, but it sounds like it might be stridor.
When J had croup in May, he had stridor - but it was only at night, when he would have a coughing fit and try to breathe back in. He was having legit trouble getting air into his lungs, it was so scary!
Is E getting it each time she takes a deep breath? Does she seem to feel okay otherwise? I'd probably call the doc to check, but if it doesn't seem like she's having real trouble breathing or having coughing fits, it might be okay. Just maybe residual inflammation of her airways? Running a humidifier and getting fresh air helped J a lot.
Hope she feels better soon!

Is it every time? If it's constant and it looks she is struggling to breathe, I'd take her back to the ER!

@Mama Bird: 8 months, dh thinks it is because she has a runny nose.
@keepcalmcarrie: @FliegepilzHut: no, just when she is excited. She doesn't seem to be having trouble breathing otherwise I would have taken her to the ER already @keepcalmcarrie: could be residual from all the vomiting on Friday.
