DS is currently on day four of a fever and stomach virus. If he is not watching TV, he is clinging to me and crying. He is two years old. I know it isn't great for him, but I just don't know what else to do. He has no energy for anything else, and neither do I. So he has watched so. Much. TV. Please tell me I am not a terrible mother!

Currently in the same boat as you. I figure all I want to do when I'm sick is rest and watch tv, it won't hurt LO either. She doesn't usually watch that much so I'm not worried... Gotta keep them rested and comfortable when they are feeling so bad.

I'm not sure what is up with my DD, but she got hysterical at lunch when she gagged a little on food and flipped out. The only thing that calmed hey down was baby Einstein. She started crying again when I turned it off.
She's been sleeping for almost 3 hours! I'm afraid I'm going to have to wake her up...

Nope, we were home for 6+ days with bronchitis/ear infection/ect. a few weeks ago, she lived in front of the TV. I figured she's sick, it keeps her from running crazy (which caused coughing fits) and seriously it's TV...I watched a TON growing up an I'm a well adjusted adult

Nope. Not a bad mom. When my dd1 was so sick she couldn't get off the couch, it was Frozen on repeat and lots of disney jr. Poor things. I figure a few days of tv won't ruin them! I watched so much tv when i was a kid and i consider myself a success

You are not a bad mom. Think about how you feel when you are sick- don't you just want to veg out and lay down on the couch and watchTVin between sleeping? I'm sure toddlers are the same! I hope he feels better soon!!

Nope, a few days of TV isn't going to rot their brain. they need to rest and get better when they are sick!

Oh, lady, TV is the ticket when they're sick! What are you gonna do, ya know?! No permanent damage involved. All I do when I'm sick is watch tv and sleep, too! Can't have them running around

N is presently watching PBS kids app on our iPad. It is at least educational right? I hoping for healthier days soon.
