Two 20 hour trips (each way) at 10 months, and at 2.5 and 2 months. The 20 hours is drive time, with stops it ended up being 24 -26 hours. The drive was split into two days each with a hotel overnight.
We did stay about two weeks - one in Houston, one in Dallas. We live in DC.

We drove 7 hours to Crater Lake, last summer (LO was 2.5). She talked the ENTIRE drive and never took a nap. It was exhausting!

We will be driving 2150 miles tomorrow with a 5 and 2.5 year old. Wish us luck! We are spreading it out over 6 days.

@cabbagerose: That sounds like an awesome roadtrip!
My family lives 12 hours away, so we regularly make the trip in one day. DS has made the trip while 3 m, 9m, a couple times when he was 1, and just over 2. We're going again when he's 2.5 next week DD has been 6 weeks and will be 4 months for this next one.
We actually go mostly screen-less. The last bit of the trip in the dark is the worst bit, so if DS is fussy, he gets to watch a couple episodes of Little Einsteins before we get there. But we manage the first 10-11 hours without it. It helps that he can look out the window and point things out now (cows, cows, cows, cows, train!) and parceling out gummies and marshmallows for bribery has always worked great
DS mostly sleeps or coos. She doesn't take a pacifier or a bottle, so when she's fussy, I have to actually feed her. It is only a real pain over the mountain passes when her ears hurt.
