Hey all! I'm looking into purchasing a new camera. I would like something that takes really nice photos. Thinking about a DSLR but I am definitely a novice. I also don't want anything too crazy or expensive.
Anyone have any recommendations? Obviously it is going to be mainly used to take pictures of my baby.

I bought a Canon Rebel T5 in January and love it so far...
Also purchased an addt'l lens with a wide aperture for getting good indoor/low light photos of the little ones.
It is a lot to learn though so depends on how much time you want to spend reading before getting to use it!
Total I spent was right around $500 for the camera + lens.

Canon Rebel line is a great camera for beginners or entry level. Though, it's been few years since we have purchased ours so there might be others that are better.

If you have a costco membership, they usually have camera kits that include a second lens. It's a great price.
