we may be making a cross-country move for DH's job soon. any advice on buying a house when you don't live there yet? I think we get at least one trip out there to look, and I'm hopeful we'll have a good agent to help us.
can we realistically do any of the legwork in advance by checking out sites like zillow and redfin? any general advice on the looking/buying process when you only have limited days in town? we don't own now so it's even more nerve wracking, but it would likely make financial sense to buy in the new location so renting for a year isn't our preferred option right now. though it may be if looking doesn't go well.
