I'm looking to buy a tablet and can't decide if I want to splurge on an iPad4 or get the Galaxy Tab 2 and save a few bucks. I'd mainly use it for browsing online, netflix, and such. Has anyone used both? Thoughts?

I have an ipad and so has a galaxy tab. I definitely would pick the galaxy. The ipad doesnt show flash, and a lot of sites use flash.
I would also say if you plan on buying apps its a pain to have a mismatch between your smartphone and tablet. Since i have an android phone, i always end up buying apps for both platforms.

I have the galaxy tab2 7 inch tablet and it's great. It's perfect for facebook, pinterest, reading library books, hellobee... Etc. I love it!

I don't have either:( but I've used the iPad enough times ( ALL my siblings have them) and the galaxy (my SIL has it) to know that the iPad isn't worth the $$ difference! I personally like it more because...it's Apple:) no other good reason.

Wow...I was totally expecting to get the opposite feedback! It always seems that most people prefer Apple. I have an iPhone for my work phone and an Android for my personal phone, so I'm not exactly a huge iPerson. I have a $275 credit to Amazon, so I'd only have to pay $75 for the Galaxy, or $250 for the iPad.

I honestly didn't like Apple products until recently. DH is a techie and did his best to avoid it for the last couple of years. We even had a macbook years ago that we didn't use often because of the osx (ran windows on it instead). He has had 5-6 tablets in the past year and finally found the holy grail of tablets for him -- an iPad mini. It took that many tries for him to figure out a tablet that could fulfill his needs. Yes, it costs more but you definitely get the most out of it. I was honestly tired of him trying out tablet after tablet and happy that he finally found something he can keep.
After saying all of that, DH never got a Galaxy tablet so I don't know much about it. I can say that every other tablet he has had always failed at something, and the iPad is the only one that has exceeded his needs thus far.

Don't have the galaxy, but love the iPad. We have 2... Everything except u can't run websites w flash... I also like iCloud, where all your tablets n phones all sync up.
