Suggestions?
I'm worried about the carseats I'm looking at fitting into our cars. I've tried to measure, but its hard to tell...
Amazon says they allow unopened returns - does that mean you can't open the box or do they mean tags still on, all packaging intact, etc?
Has anyone ever returned to diapers.com or returned a carseat to Target???

Can you go to a local store? We checked out car seats in person and the store let us put them in our car to see how they fit.

Are the seats that you're interested in available at TRU/BRU? They will let you take the display model out to your car and try it out. Then you can just say you're going to think about it and go home and order it from the site with the best deal.

@Bluebonnet: @kiddosc: the only baby store we have (BRU) doesn't have them, unfortunately. I may be able to have a seat shipped to the store. If I could return it right there that might be easier.

@78h2o: I returned an opened car seat to amazon with no problems. I hadn't noticed the "rough" feeling of the handle and exchanged it with ease for a different brand.
We bought our convertible (recaro proride) through amazon for the same reason......it wasnt available to try in BRU or buy buy baby. We loved it and it fit perfectly so no need to return.
Just make sure if bought on amazon it's marked as "sold by amazon"

@wheres_c: Oh, thanks... that's good to know. I was thinking of the Radian RXT or Britax Advocate or Pavillion. I haven't looked at the Recaro yet.... and already my head is about to explode, lol!
