Has anyone seen light (non-fleece) non-form-fitting long sleeve/long pant PJs for 6-7 year old girls anywhere? I bought a bunch of sets from Target this fall - https://www.target.com/p/girls-llama-pajama-set-cat-jack-violet-navy/-/A-77520194?preselect=54648931#lnk=sametab - but they're all mostly sold out now and my kid wears long PJs almost year-round for playtime/hanging out at home so ours are wearing out pretty fast and getting too small for her as she's hitting a growth spurt. All I'm finding everywhere are the typical form-fitting ones that my kid hates. Any other alternatives I'm not thinking of (loose pants and shirts of some other variety?) Thank you!

I think for legal reasons any kid sleep wear that isn't flame resistant, like fleece, has to be form fitting. So the only way to get loose cotton jammies is to size up.

@Mrs. Carrot: I'm happy to know that my kids aren't the only ones who wear PJs all day, every day. I usually get cat and jack or carters. You can find similar at Costco, too. If you can't find from the source, have you tried poshmark or some other place like that?

Can she just wear separates that are cozy but not marketed as pjs so not as form fitting? Like from primary or cat and jack?

Just don’t buy any that say snug fit but those are breezy. Maybe get a cozy cardigan or warm-up type jacket to expand your pj options if she gets cold?

@Mrs. Carrot: gap kids. When you size into the gap kids sizes (XS, S, etc...), they have tons of loose fitting options.

@JJ2626: yup, that's what I'm thinking of trying, just haven't explored it much so wondering what folks do. She really doesn't like form fitting clothes at home and she's short but not skinny so it's hard to find things that fit her in most typical brands (Carters, Old Navy, etc.) because it seems like most stuff is made for longer, skinnier kids. Right now especially we're having a real challenge finding clothes because she's a size 7-8 weight-wise but more of a 5-6 height wise.

@agold: I haven't tried those, no. She thankfully wears real clothes outside the house but she hates being restricted so thankfully we can do leggings and loose tops for school and stuff but at home she just wants to be in PJs but most are too snug for her to be comfortable. Picky kid lol

Would trying the boys section help? My kid's pj's are almost all from Gap or Old Navy and we mix and match tops and bottoms. Regular, non-fitted bottoms seem to be common in the boys section.

Burt's bees have added a loose fit line to their pajamas, they're a bit pricey, but I buy them on sale.

These have short sleeves but they’re the same type of pants in your other sets - my DD loves these Cat & Jack pants! There’s a few other patterns but maybe a waste if yours won’t wear the short sleeve shirts ever.

I’d try the boys section. You should be able to get pj pants and then you could get some plain cotton tops.
My 6 year old DS loves wearing pj’s if we are staying home on the weekend.
