I have always felt a let down while breastfeeding/pumping, but in the past week,, I only get that about 1/2 the time. Is it normal to lose that feeling?

I've only sometimes have a let-down feeling. I haven't figured out why I have it sometimes and not other times because the milk is flowing either way.

I've never felt letdown, but I know engorgement and even being full feeling goes away so it would suprise me that that would to. Have you looked at Kelly's mom? I love her information.

I don't feel it all the time. Maybe it depends on how much milk you have at that feeding, but I think the feeling tends to get weaker over time. Mine certainly did!

I've always had a pretty strong let-down feeling, so losing that feeling along with having trouble keeping up my supply had me concerned it might be dropping.
@sandy: @Mrs. Bee: Do you remember when it started to get weaker? Was it all of a sudden or a gradual change?

I had a strong let down feeling up until month 14. The feeling started to go away as I started losing my supply. At a few days past 15 months pp I no longer have my letdown feeling and I've pretty much dried up. Lo still comfort nurses before her nap and bedtim though.

@BabyBoecksMom: I can't really remember so it must have been gradual...kind of like how one day you realize it's not as painful to breastfeed. I remember I used to have a super strong letdown (very tingly feeling). Now I almost never have that feeling but every once in awhile during breastfeeding and/or pumping I will have a slight letdown feeling
