In the last couple of weeks my hands have gotten quite swollen, and I am getting constant pins and needles in them. Has this happened to anyone else?

This hasn't happened to me, but my OB said it happened to her. She said she woke up almost every morning at the end of her pregnancy with her hands numb and all tingly. She said that is normal for some women, sorry sounds horrible!

Carpal tunnel of pregnancy is pretty common. I don't know if that's what you've got, but definitely get it checked out at your next visit. It gets better after delivery

I had that problem while I was pregnant, but I think I actually have early carpul tunnel b/c I had that pain every once in awhile before I got preggers.

Thanks everyone. It always makes you feel better when someone else has had the same symptoms. I am very much looking forward to getting my body back!

Two weeks pp and I still have it! Anyone know how long it takes to go? It makes me all butter fingers trying to do up the snaps on baby gros!

@aunt pol: Up to a YEAR--before they recommend getting the carpal tunnel release surgery. Sorry. I'm hoping mine doesn't take that long. I must say that delivery certainly took the edge off it for me though.
The orthopedic surgeon I work for recommends OT/PT for carpal tunnel due to pregnancy.

Mine fall asleep here and there when I am sleeping. Other than that, my feet fall asleep a lot. I don't think mine is due to carpal tunnel, though. Just baby sitting on nerves.

That sounds so uncomfortable, I would definitely ask your doctor to check it out. Towards the end of my pregnancy I always woke up with my hands feeling all numb and tingly. It's definitely no fun, but it luckily went away after I gave birth.
