LO is 5 weeks old jus face is SO dry and he has some baby acne. I know the acne will clear eventually but was wondering if I could put a gentle lotion on his face like cetaphil? Any of you have this issue? His little eyelids are so red too

What about baby aquaphor? I feel like I've heard this works on baby acne too.

The best thing for baby acne is breastmilk! We also use cetaphil when Los face is dry.

yup! i use cetaphil on her face. I did use aquafor, which worked, but it's so slimy and messy. I waited til she was asleep so she didn't rub it and then put her hands in her mouth. now at 5m she lets me do it and leaves it alone

I use Aquaphor and Califonia Baby calendula cream, which rocks.

My Ped told me aveeno lotion...I bought the bath wash and the lotion (for eczema) and it helped with her dry spots and to calm her acne down.

Our ped recommended Aveeno during the lizard-y newborn stage. Now we use coconut oil on her face.

We never dealt with baby acne but J's face is SO dry and we have always used aquaphor (I put it on his face after he's fallen asleep so he doesn't rub around and get it in his eyes/mouth) and it helps so much!

Cetaphil on DS's whole body, including face, since day one and it was no problem.

We use the super sensitive version of California Baby. Love it. Our baby acne was linked to food allergies, but cleared up in time.

We use Aveeno wash for his acne (more like prevention of it) & then I use Babyganics lotion on his face. It's all natural...you can eat it!

We used Aveeno eczema lotion and it cleared up the dry skin in about a week. Now we use that and coconut oil. My LO has red eyelids too, but the doctor said those are birthmarks called "angel kisses" and will go away within the first year.

I use cetaphil on DS's dry spots, breast milk on the baby acne. It seems to help quite a bit.
