I lust over Louboutins, but I don't think I could ever bring myself to spend that on shoes. Like you, there's so many other things I could spend that money on... like plane tickets home so our families can meet C.

@anonysquire: My husband keeps asking me when I'm ever going to wear mine and what the point of having them is if I dont wear them. I think I'm mostly afraid of tearing up the soles on asphalt. But I envy your studs; none of mine are embellished!

Hell no! I can't spend more than $200 on a pair of shoes. I got married in ones that were $30! I believe good shoes are important, but I couldn't see a pair of shoes ever being worth that much. There comes a point where your paying for a name, and putting it on fb like that is reaffirming that it's a status thing for her. If you have a ton of money and want to buy them, all the power to ya! but if you're doing it to show other people you have $$ burning a hole in your pocket, then I think you must be kind of a sad person.

@anonysquire: I am totally like that too! And then the one time I wear those shoes out it will end up being to a place that has a parking lot filled with dirt and rocks.

I like comfortable shoes. My most spendy pair is a pair of Fluvogs that I wore for my wedding. I'm on my feet too much to bother wearing something fancy.

BTW, I would have to draw the line at spending $1000+ on shoes as well. I know there are many ladies who have beautiful collections, but I don't think I'll ever get to that point.

My most expensive shoes were my Burberry rain boots, which I've already consigned. Some day I will own a pair of really expensive shoes, but I have wide feet and nothing will ever look good or be comfortable!!

I like nice things, but I have "mental monetary limits" that my brain will not allow me to go past. I think that the most I would ever pay for shoes is honestly $200. Same thought process with handbags...I have a mental limit of $400 for a purse... Anything more than that would leave me plagued with Buyer's Remorse and guilt, and I'd end up talking myself out of it and bring it back:)

I own a pair of black patent Louboutains. My husband bought them for me for valentines one year. Picked them out himself. I always use the same black pumps for every dressy occasion, and he thought I should have a really nice pair. I would never spend that kind of money on myself, though.

I bought mine during the sales so they are not $1,000+ but they are still pricey. I enjoyed wearing them pre-kids but I don't wear heels that high anymore. I still buy designer hand bags though.

Shoes don't really do anything for me, so I certainly can't justify an expense like that for the color of a sole. I do have some expensive shoes (boots and pumps), but they are shoes I'll keep for years, and wear often.

I would love a pair but unfortunately I don't see it happening unless we win the lottery! Haha DH doesn't justify me spends more than 200 on shoes, and those are boots I wear for years.

No, I don't own any. I don't wear high heels very often and the ones I do have are in the $25-50 range that I bought from DSW or Nordstrom Rack.

I don't think I'll ever afford them unless I won the lottery and had that money to spend.

I do think some pairs are really cute when I see them on celebrities.

I also have to add that in my line of work, I don't have to dress up. Since I work in a lab, it's causal clothes for me. So sneakers are my everyday shoe.

I don't own a pair of Loubs, but I have a pair of Fryes that were over $500. The thing about having nice things is that I own less of them. So I may only have a few purses, but they are very nice ones. Same for shoes. I own two pairs of boots, period. I don't wear heels, but after having numerous toe surgeries, I don't mind spending money on comfy and high quality shoes. Some people have that kind of money to spend, no biggie

I'm "thrifty".... so no, I couldn't spend that on shoes. The most I've spent is $150 on a pair of running shoes because I do boot camps and/or run 15-20 miles per week and I wanted to make sure I had the right support. If I'm going to wear heels that I could break my ankle in, I'd rather not spend more than $50

@sweetchic: Just curious, which style was it that you found uncomfortable? They seem to be all over the place in terms of comfort.

@sweetchic: Oh that is painful! Have you tried breaking them in a bit? Like wearing them around with thick socks on, and leaving them stuffed with socks? Obviously that won't change the shape drastically but...

I own 3 pairs of Loubs, but they are classic styles and I have had them for years and they are my go-to wedding/special occasion shoes. I generally tend to spend a fair amount on shoes but I don't own as many pairs as most girls. I go for quality over quantity.

Also, I paid well under $1K for each pair of Louboutin's...have prices gone up?! I haven't been shopping for heels since pregnancy!

II don't have any! I only spend 100 to 200 on each pair of shoes. Maybe 250 or so for boots that will last forever.
