Sometimes I watch Love It Or List It and try to guess whether the couple will sell or renovate. (Generally they have a budget of around $50k to have the TV crew renovate or a bit more than that to sell and look for a bigger/newer home...and usually there's a disappointment like instead of the cool new kitchen or extra bedroom they wanted, they have to have their basement insulated for that money.)

If you had a choice, would you gut your home and stay where you are? Or would you move?

As for me, I'd go for the renovations because it wouldn't take much for this to be the perfect house...a fence, new cabinets and backsplash, small details. But it would probably take so much more money to find a better house in a better neighborhood that it just isn't worth it!
