Anyone else here 40+ with low AMH? When we were seeing an RE 2 years ago for our second daughter, my AMH was .29

Meeee!! I think my AMH was almost non existent.... we did 6 mos of fertility treatments and then gave up. Obvi they were all BFN.
The first month with no interventions... I GOT A BFP... soo it is possible.
I'll look back through my old posts to see what my amh was.... and i'll update here.ETA: AMH was .02

@CatchAFallingStar: I have a very strong opinion that AMH is not the accurate fertility predictor REs try to convince women it is. If you research online I think you will see that it simply not a reliable projecter of egg quality or quantity.
I think you know my story... I am 35, started TTC at 31. I went to one RE for my first son and a different one for my second son. AMH was . 3 and . 1!! FSH through the roof, very few follicles etc. They both told me I had very little chance of getting pregnant naturally. Guess what? I got pregnant 3 times without so much as a clomid
So I just want to say do not be discouraged by amh or any other labs. They are NOT the sole determinor of your fertility. I almost wishd I had never gotten tested, they caused me so much stress! Sometimes, especially when we're a little older, it just takes longer!! Thinking of you. Reach out anytime. -

I believe I remember from old POAS boards that you responded really well to injectables with both your LOs? Don't know if you're planning to go that route again, but if so I'd guess your past great response is a very encouraging indicator.

@periwinklebee: you’re right! IUI with injectables worked first time with both of our girls! However, I don’t think we want to go that route again. I would, by I think DH is kinda done with treatments and just wants to let what’s meant to be BE.

@pachamama: thank you so much for this reminder! You’re so right. Being age 40 and having the low AMH are scary (not to mention my endometriosis). It feels like it might be impossible. But I also strongly feel that we are supposed to and going to have 3 kids! 🤷♀️

I'm not 40+ (I just turned 39) but I have a low AMH and have been trying for #3 off and on for about a year. I feel like my husband and I change our mind about whether to try or not literally every month. I actually don't know my AMH as I was diagnosed with low AMH at 35 and don't want to go back to see how much worse it has gotten. I've been taking DHEA and some other antioxidant supplements (Acai, ubiquinol, etc.) to try to help with egg quality. I'm trying to decide whether to try this month or wait another month until I've been on the supplements for long enough since I've also had 3 losses (2 between DS and DD and one after DD). I've been struggling with not wanting to close the chapter of having more children (I really don't feel done) but also wanting to move onto whatever is next (taking fun vacations to Zika infested lands, sleeping all night long, etc.). And even if I am 100% decided that I want another, there is the whole question of whether it is even physically possible. Trying to just take things day by day....
